There are differences between the cd/dvd, none of their live-performances are exactly the same, and they occasionaly miss a note... No way you can really fake that.

Know that it was very cold that night, that made it for them a lot harder to sing... If you compare this to the album version, Hayley sounds a lot better there, and Méav too. Both are terrific singers, but I have to agree... I love Méav a lot more. She'll always be my favorite celtic woman.

The version that Meav did on her solo album is equally as good (if not better) than this version. A bit more orchestral than this one but the vocals are still superb in her solo version.

I know what you mean now . Then this is not a folk song . Try to listen to Celtic Woman version of Spanish Lady or She Moved Through the Fair. Those are very good folk songs. Celtic Woman perform a variety of music such as classical, New Age ,Celtic music, acapella and folk songs. That's why you easily mistakes the genre.
This song reminds me of a couple years ago when our rose bush bloomed well into winter... beautiful full dark pink roses on a bush surrounded by snow. No one knew how it was possible. We knew it should be cut back to protect it from the cold, but no one had the heart to. It had been a hard year and that bush was a spot of life and warmth to our family through many cold days... figuratively and literally. I will always like this song because it reminds me of those roses in the snow.

Celtic Woman are gifted with gorgeous voices, as is Renee Fleming. I've heard her sing on the ROTK soundtrack and she took my breath away just like these girls do.
Hayley has had training since she was a young child, when a music teacher discovered she was pitch perfect. Since 16 she's been considered to be one of the best young voices in the world.
Meav is also classically trained and studied music at Trinity College in Ireland.
The technique is no accident, Celtic Woman has very serious talent.

As a counter to Renee Fleming. After hearing her sing, New Zealand opera legend Dame Malvina Major offered to give Hayley lessons. Dame Malvina says of Hayley's voice, "It's absolutely musically true. A lot of young singers have beautiful voices but they have to be guided into that sort of clarity. She has it naturally". Probably because they have to quick-change into other outfits for other themes. And dresses without straps are easier to get in and out of that one with straps would be.
Yes they are certainly outside. This was recorded at Slane Castle, in August (the rainy season) and it was cold. The dress rehearsal the day before was interrupted by rain several times.
I find Meav insanely beautiful, hot and sexy, If I could only have one wish granted in my life, I would ask to see, hear and love this Goddess/woman for the rest of my life. That her eyes would be last thing I would see, and her lips be the last I would kiss. I couln't ask for more.
Yes it was cold...We got rain the night before at the dress rehearsal. This performance took place in August, which is the rainy season in Ireland. You can sometimes spot the other "girls" breath too.

The version that Meav did on her solo album is equally as good (if not better) than this version. A bit more orchestral than this one but the vocals are still superb in her solo version.

This is a fake Irish or wth music!!I'd love to see a dirty poor smelly hungry woman 200 years ago who sings like a Montserrat!!!I mean..Common!!! The roots are here with out doubts.... BUT Gimme so real and REAL Irish music!!!!

What do you mean real Irish music? They are Irish and have Irish heritage. How can they sing fake music in front of you ? Unless only you are the one who think it is tasteless. They might perform it differently , it doesn't mean they are bad singers. Just listen to something else that fits with your critical estimation. Criticism is not allowed here.

No..real folk music is not this sophisticated...I found this more then pleasant for mind and ears!!!But not as real folk music ...Tell me where i can find all this but in different,REAL folk way!My English is not that good,sorry!!!

I know what you mean now . Then this is not a folk song . Try to listen to Celtic Woman version of Spanish Lady or She Moved Through the Fair. Those are very good folk songs. Celtic Woman perform a variety of music such as classical, New Age ,Celtic music, acapella and folk songs. That's why you easily mistakes the genre.

This song reminds me of a couple years ago when our rose bush bloomed well into winter... beautiful full dark pink roses on a bush surrounded by snow. No one knew how it was possible. We knew it should be cut back to protect it from the cold, but no one had the heart to. It had been a hard year and that bush was a spot of life and warmth to our family through many cold days... figuratively and literally. I will always like this song because it reminds me of those roses in the snow.

@FantasyBri This song reminds me of my dear grandmother, I loved her so dear. She was a pure angel and everyone loved her. she always grew roses and no matter what they would bloom. one day she passed on and yet still though the roses never get watered they still shine. I say it's Gods love that lets them stay and those beautiful Red roses will always be in her memory. God bless her soul

Celtic Woman are gifted with gorgeous voices, as is Renee Fleming. I've heard her sing on the ROTK soundtrack and she took my breath away just like these girls do.

Yes, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack is amazing (as someone can easily tell by viewing my favourites). Renee sang so wonderfully there.
And Celtic Woman is also amazing....Howard Shore, David Downs, good conductors.

Hayley has had training since she was a young child, when a music teacher discovered she was pitch perfect. Since 16 she's been considered to be one of the best young voices in the world.
Meav is also classically trained and studied music at Trinity College in Ireland.
The technique is no accident, Celtic Woman has very serious talent.

I don't think people will say she is pitch perfect more like relative pitch which is still awesome. Meav is my favorite :) Hayley I am a big fan, but her higher notes kinda creep me out they sound just odd, but she has an extremely beautiful middle voice. Thank you, for answering my question =D

As a counter to Renee Fleming. After hearing her sing, New Zealand opera legend Dame Malvina Major offered to give Hayley lessons. Dame Malvina says of Hayley's voice, "It's absolutely musically true. A lot of young singers have beautiful voices but they have to be guided into that sort of clarity. She has it naturally". Dame Malivina is currently Professor of Music at Canterbury University in NZ.

yes. this concert was filmed in the front lawn of slane castle...ireland... but i think i can see some breath too, but the weird thing is, i dont think it was winter! more towards the summer

Probably because they have to quick-change into other outfits for other themes. And dresses without straps are easier to get in and out of that one with straps would be.

Yes they are certainly outside. This was recorded at Slane Castle, in August (the rainy season) and it was cold. The dress rehearsal the day before was interrupted by rain several times.

I find Meav insanely beautiful, hot and sexy, If I could only have one wish granted in my life, I would ask to see, hear and love this Goddess/woman for the rest of my life. That her eyes would be last thing I would see, and her lips be the last I would kiss. I couln't ask for more.

Yes it was cold...We got rain the night before at the dress rehearsal. This performance took place in August, which is the rainy season in Ireland. You can sometimes spot the other "girls" breath too.
