man the guys right, karate, judo, ITF taekwondo are too "structured" and are just theories on what would happen in real combat. But i started WTF taekwondo, and it's more freestyle, and very practical in real lofe situations. not to take anything away from karate and judo.

That said, Jeet Kune Do/JKD is just a name used to describe how you free yourself from styles, systems and methods. It is NOT a new style, method, system of fighting. If you don't get that, you don't know what JKD is in the first place.
