touching a stranger is a natural action? um not where i growed up brotha. touching a stranger is a little weird and creepy. maybe in hippy happy upper middle classy art museum land its "natural" or wishes it was based on some outmoded modernist idealized sense of utopian one world one love, one skin capacitance kinda way.
@offtheavenue fuck man, what a conversation... etter doesn't mean nothing, because you need to refere on something. better for what? why better? fuck it's just the same but you need to pay and there is more object. your out of the question man, cause your values have no links with the reality of doing.
@offtheavenue if you follow the hacking spirit who make pure data, you'll find some better way to comunicate with every software of your computer. OSC language man, you can connect everything. max the same, of course, but someone has allready made it for you, and it's not a good pedagogic way. Pure data is the same in pedagogic version. its really not a fight. max and pure data has the same root, but one is more open than the other.
Before there was "performance art" they called something like this a "gimmick". Did you know that you can fold a piece of wrapping paper over a comb, hum on it and hear the sound of an analog synth? You still won't be "creating music" but you'll be a lot closer than touching a wired bath rug will get you.
@joetube199 What about the socializing that comes with it? From all of the instances of them doing this project for the outside world, they have had strangers come together and socialize. I think that might be the idea, but I can still see the gimmicky nature...
I'm doing a report on the Lucky Dragons and I know nothing about it. My teacher also told me to focus on the "make a baby" project they did/are doing. But I am way confused and don't really understand this. Does anyone think they can send me a message via Youtube and explain it to me?
