Helpful hint, if you bring down the volume (A little bit) on the track you want to hear the vocals on while increasing the mid. you can really get a nice sound without all the other junk in the track playing :] Fiddle with it and you will see!
wow this is first dj mix i've seen that's explained the dj's every little move - using the annotations. thanks mate it's very helpful indeed.. great video and an awesome mix!!!
Hey can you send me message on where to buy this exact Dj thingy and how much would it be? like paste the url to the website where you bought it thx your pro P: msg me
@666BozoTheClown666 i actually use this same mixdeck because i just started DJing. its actually a nice tool for beginners and its not too pricey. sure its not professional but hey it gets the job done :)
This looks like a great controller for the money. I'd say if you're into DJing, learn the basics on this thing and move up to cdjs and then please learn beat matching and more complex eq mixing.
Hey there! A while back I contacted you under my other Youtube account about whether the Mixtrack Pro was any good. And I thought about what you said and got one. Now a few months later I'm the resident DJ for a society in my University. And I just want to thank you because it was this video that got me into DJing. So thank you, and keep up the awesomeness!
@PeterKeuneVideos When you're cuing the track, you can see where you are in the track on the computer screen using the waveform... listen in your headphones and use the waveform and you can set the cue perfectly.
@Danemasterpiece under the tracklist bar, right click and a menu will open. Click "Key" and there you have it :) However, you may need to re-enter those keys. I can't seem to find a way for it to discover the key by itself.
@PureS0urce its not the loop buttons. when the chorus on "i need air" starts you hit the hot cue for the beginning of "woo boost". do u need a video tutorial?
okay so on woo boost your not looping are you? i used to use image lines deckadence back when i had numark omni control and you could chop up the drums in many different ways im guessing thats what your doing? it sucks cause i cant do that on ns7 closest things i have are the nsfx echo, delay, reverb, and repeat to kinda imitate what your doin with the beat grid thing?? sucks how much shit you miss out when using serato itch
Hey guys, I'm Would really love some help on a question I have, And im asking here because I know i will get the perfect amount of smartass remarks and usefull information.. Really looking to get further into mixing, aand creating dubstep.. This look like it would be a good piece. But I am wondering what is the best software to use to create dubstep, mix songs ect.. If you would please leave some Helpful Replies, You girls and guys are great. Thank you :)
@AbominableSnowFish For my Music Production, I use a Roland-MC307, Sony Acid Pro and Sound Forge. Basically you need any kind of synth, some drum samples, a powerful multi track DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), and a mixer to connect your equipment into your PC. My setup isnt exactly PRO standards, but it gets the job done and sounds great if you know how to EQ, mix/master, and balance your tracks and render them with high quality settings when you export.
@monstermchet i agree with what you're saying, but this is still a great system for people who are just starting out. i got a mixdeck (instead of this) when i first started and it's def a good starter kit for this stuff. but yeah putting the choruses together makes no sense whatsoever. too much damn noise.
anyway, "DJing" lost its real definition, everyone can DJ, but clubs prefer a dj with crappy skills who makes the crowd dance than a heavily skilled godness who plays boring music.
this sure is fun, but it's not mixing. i bet this guy doesn't even know what the pitch control is for.. all pre cued, already sync'd tracks. and the mixing isn't even good, chorus together? too much noise and you lose the intensity of the frop. if you want to get good at djing, use cd players, or better yet vinyl turntables. digital "mixing" requires no skill at all. mixing is all about beatmatching and tempo counting, no way can you learn that using this kind of material.
@leonkohler What i do is that i wait for the chorus(I hope I spelled that right.)And when the drop is about to come I use another songs drop by cueing it in advance.Like In Vampire dub(I use that song too) I would play a song and when the moments right quickly switch over to Vampire when it says CONFIDENT and let vampire drop.Im a horrible newbie dj but i hope that helped.
Djs who prepare their cues only do it when they want to mix a specific thing. If you can't mix from just a random selection of songs then you're not a mixer at all.
I almost always prepare my cues for hip hop songs, because the first note is rarely the first beat, I sure can mix without cues, or setting them on fly, but why shouldn't I use my prepared cues ?
Dude, if you think you're a real DJ, who doesn't use little tricks like that, you surely walk on hands because it's harder.
Yeah doing all that is fine to an extent. You can't just play the exact same set over and over again. But mixing is an art, you should be able to do it with any song in the specified genre without knowing exactly how the song goes or having to involve cue points.
i like your style, i think you need some underground songs along with your current songs to add a "mystery" to your set. But very nice and informative video. Look up some Terrivita for some dirty underground drops for you next set. have fun!

Has nothing to do with "chorus" or "drop" times. Mixing is all on timing and bars. Theres usually 64 - 128 bars build up to a drop, all timing.
