As a matter of deep conviction I do not believe in the death penalty. I believe that Professor Yoo deserves a fair trial for his role in facilitating the creatiion of a worldwide system of kidnapping and torture, a crime against humanity.
A fair trial would (or perhaps will, inshallah) certainly find Professor Yoo guilty. Nonetheless, I am glad he will not be hung, which he would be if he were tried under the same system under which, say, Alfred Rosenberg was tried.
