i have never played this game so what is going on with people shooting at you and those camps ive seen with some guy on guitar? what are you supposed to do in this game?
The guy with the guitar wants to bring some light in the darkness.The bad dudes shootin at u are probably hostile stalker teams or zombified stalkers.There are also the creepies like bloodsuckas,poltergeists,etc.I know a lot about it,but i still havent played it yet.Damn!!
This is an excellent video - and I agree with the poster - no cheesy music to show everybody your a metalhead or whatever - even the game hardly has music and is better for it! Secondly, it is important to see regular gamers playing this game to get a feel for what it's like and this video does it brilliantly! TWO TOTAL THUMBS UP! Ignore the idiots!

BTW, as you might have guessed, I was pretty much out of ammo, I wouldnt use a shotgun at those distances if I had something better.

A cool thing is that they actually speak Russian in the game :)I need to get it, but first i need a new PC :) And one question, is the game realistic?
Realistic ? Last time I strolled through the Chernobyl area, monsters like that did not spawn, and I not have to shoot 2.000 other human beings, etc :) But the gunnery seems realistic. Then again I've not fired many machine guns yet, nor used a lot of grenade launchers so what do I know :)
Ah. Yeah, of course it's not realistic to run around and kill monsters in Russia ^^ But compared to other games in that genre. Like, if you can do anything like Rambo style or something :) I've heard that you can get drunk, and then it will be much harder to drive, is that true?
@bbaeyens Yeah, Chernobyl's alright if you stick to the touristy areas. It's only really the bad areas where you get that sort of thing, same as any big city.

You should try playing Call of Duty, for practicing your aiming. After all S.T.A.L.K.E.R. uses the same system with the iron sites and the major kickback.

at 4.20 also very good shot.
but why do you open inventar (equipment? - dont know the right word of english version) to get a bandage or a medikit? that can kill u.
easier to use a shortcut. bandages are on "+" , medikits i have put it on middle mouse button e.g.
