I don't mind Belfort, It's a fun worker placement with decent strategy but not revolutionary. But Scott, seriously, I don't know what's going on with you but a couple months ago you post a video talking about how you won't be doing reviews anymore cause all board games suck and you are tired of them all cause they are all the same, etc. Any now you make short videos saying stuff like "yeah we are all playing this game but it sucks and i will never play it again" Where's the love in your life man?
@MrGgabber If you take a look at the other 2 videos I uploaded from this game day, you'll see that I enjoyed both of those games. Unlike BGWS, where I would only cover games I liked, now I'm talking about games I like and games I'm not enjoying. Both are useful for viewers.
Towards the end you refer to Homesteaders as a worker placement game, but it's not really at all. Homesteaders main mechanism is an auction and it's focus is on building an economic engine to produce resources and points. The game does require you to purchase workers to activate some of the buildings, but there is no competition between players in the placement of these workers, they are really just another resource type.
My thoughts exactly. I've played it three times. Each time it just kinda drags. You're right, you take out the AP and other downtime and you have a solid game.
If you play this again, would you do another InPlay review please?

@LazarusW You're right. It's an auction/engine building game. It was an off-the cuff unplanned remark that was incorrect.
Despite that, I still like it better!

Thanks for the review. I saw this and almost bought it just due to the really pretty game pieces.
