I dunno if Sonny suspects anything or not, but based solely on what we see on screen, Sami cheating on Rafe seems like the source of all of Will's inner turmoils. Unless he's just that good at hiding the truth and is using her as an outlet...
Honestly i can't recall any real hints that Will's gay. he was uncomfortable with Gabi, but that's not convincing. They shoulda shown him glancing furtively at Sonny or something. There haven't been any actions/behaviors from Will to indicate it. If TPTB hadn't announced it mid 2011, i would think that it would be coming completely from left field if/when it actually happens. Sonny/Marlena assume he's scared of his real self, but from what I see, he's just tortured over what Sami did.
In my opinion i think that this is where sonny learns that will is gay. I don't think after will finally comes out that will and sonny are going to be together right away but first sonny is going to be one of the biggest sources of support for will and once they spend real time together than their romantic feelings are going to develop. oh and with a mother like sami will is going to need all the support that he can get.

I love these scenes so much. Will and Sonny are just adorable together, and I think that they have great chemistry. I like the fact that although they are gay, it's being told in a slow-burn more traditional American soap way. I was watching old DOOL clips on YT and this is definitely similar to the way Bo and Hope and Jack and Jennifer started, starting with chemistry and building anticipation for a relationship. I actually prefer it to some of the "insta-couple" relationships.
I'm confused...why would Will ask Sonny to collaborate on a new business together if he's also thinking of moving away from Salem? Did Will impulsively agree because he couldn't resist Sonny? Or is he planning to sweep Sonny off his feet and steal him away with him? LOL but seriously I'm confuzzled O_o

Right now, he is more concerned about Will's well being and he wants him to get his head straight. We already got a glimpse of Will/Sonny/Tyler as friends at the New Year's Party, and it was amazing :) Tyler telling Will that he was going to save him a dance was so cute!

@leoncity Yes! I was shocked to hear that people thought they didn't have chemistry. But based on these scenes, in which all we are supposed to know is that Will is hinting that he is gay and that Sonny is his good friend, I think the chemistry between them is great. The fact that they are constantly smiling at each other shows that they are comfortable and happy around each other, which is a great start. Now when they start courting is when the real fireworks will begin.
They may turn around each other for a very long time I think. That they're both gay doesn't mean they'll fall in love with each other as soon as Will comes out. Maybe Will will have boyfriends, Sonny too, etc... but eventually, I hope they'll realize, u know, "gosh, what i'm looking for has been here the whole time."
I think sonny already knows or suspects wills gay but is waiting for will to come out before saying anything at least thats what i get from sonnys character
why is everything about sex or sexiness? yeah chad & sonny would be cute. but just because they're cute doesn't mean they have to be in a relationship. & what is wrong with the show pacing itself. it's more realistic.along with allowing will to win over the <3's of the older viewers. therefore hopefully making his sexuality more acceptable, thus giving us a possibly longer time with wills storyline. not just a year of nothingness. i<3 the idea of a beautiful romantic story of falling in <3
@peacefulprettyperson Its sad that a portion of the gay community are still only about sex, sex, sex. I think its important to show mainstream society, and the older folks watching that may not agree with homosexuality, that gay youth can have a committed, and respectful relationship. Having them jump into bed at first chance would reflect badly on the gay community in my opinion, and the writers are taking us at a good pace. And yes, I'm all for romance over quick sex.

@NachoW Not true at all. I think hetero couples that jump into bed together at first chance are equally as "overly sexual". My problem is that having sex just for the pleasure is not a basis for a lasting, committed relationship. If you court the person first, and really get to know them, then making love will be so much more satisfying. I guess I am in the minority, but being a gay man and hopeless romantic myself, I would chose longterm satisfaction over instant gratification anyday.

@kcwin I think at first Sonny didn't realize that Will's talking about being confused about his sexuality. that's why he suggests the coffee shop business. But then Will wants to leave and begins to drop hints about his confusion, which makes Sonny realize that Will NEEDS to go find himself if he's not ready.
I think they are shooting for Will and Sonny to be endgame after Will takes some time to come out and get comfortable with himself. I think they will become close friends first and that will build up to alot more later on down the road.
Hmmm...I still don't see anything between Will and Sonny other than friendship. My guess is that Tyler guy will be Will's love interest, but Sonny will still play a role in Will's coming out process. If the writers are trying to set up a Sonny/Will romantic storyline, then I must be blind or something, cuz I just don't see it.
Love how Sonny repeats 'my stuff'... That sure gave him a clue about Will being uncomfortable with talking about 'it'...
And sweet how at 2:36 Will corrects himself quickly. After Sonny told him about his situation (when he felt uncomfortable), Will starts replying with "Yes, I hear you.." (as if agreeing, since he's in that same situation now..) and quickly changes to "I mean, yeah, I understand what you're saying"..
that hand sonny put on will shoulder was so awkward it had to be of intent by the writers to be suggestive. Sonny and Will will get it on at some point. unfortunately it won't be that convincing

I like Chandler as an actor - he's really showing range but I wish he would stop breaking into a smile in almost every scene. It's all good until 3:36.. But then It's like Chandler and Freddie are unable to hide the fun they're having w/ their characters pretending not to know what's going on.
Although I know the slow pace of soaps can be frustrating, and the website storyline was appalling, the current pace of what is happening the last month or so seems very realistic. Everyone is different, some come out quickly, for others it is a slow process. I personally spent two year of my life at about age 20 trying to convince myself I was at the very least bisexual instead of gay. Like Will, for closeted gay guys who easily emotionally bond with women, it can be mistaken for attraction.
@vrymascstud09 Lol Sonny may have guessed that Will is gay, but that does not mean he knows that Will likes him. You don't just go kiss a guy because you both are gay.... Maybe when they start to spend more time together and Will starts flirting or dropping more hints Sonny can make a move. this slow progression is very normal for alot of gay youth, cuz you just can't accept what your life has become and what you are.. I mean who wants to put up with all the bullsh#t that a gay person has to do deal with. Friends will leave, family will turn their backs on you. And if your a guy like Will who has all these expectations put on him by everybody, to have to come out and be the cause of all the drama is sometimes more than anyone can handle. But living a lie is worse. NO REGRETS Will.
@brianpatrick58 This is perfectly stated. Everyone wants Will to charge out of the closet, right into Sonny's bed, and I just find it ridiculous. Some gay guys do have a hard time coming out, and some do take a hell of a long time to get to the point where they can be open about their sexuality. Will just needs some time to explore his sexuality a bit, and maybe his interactions with Sonny and the feelings he has when he is around him will help him come to terms with it.

Ok the i didn't realize before what a good actor the kid that plays Will is; his every gesture portrayed just how uncomfortable he was...he couldn't even ask his questions standing still, he had to keep moving from side to side as if the mere act of asking them brought him some degree of pain...gotta say the nuances were pitch perfect.

@suzka99 Sami has been through a lot for her kids and as much as Will is disappointed in her, they love each other and will work things out. Marlena notices because Will is willing to talk to her, but Marlena is hardly an angel and the issues with Sami aren't all Sami's fault; Ej because he's just nosey and well Sonny because he's a saint, kidding...i think Sami will be brilliant when she actually finds out.
Just as things look good for the two, Sonny's Ex shows up, beats him and rapes him. (cry here, a lot). But, Will fights for his man. Though Sonny almost dies, true love wins. Now that's a soap!
This is like watching paint dry-- in slow motion! So, here is my version. Sonny likes Will, secretly Will likes Sonny. When Will FINALLY admits he is a big 'ole Gay,, he thinks he'll ask Sonny out. But Sonny is very hesitant. His last boyfriend was an abuser, and the real reason he came home. But young love starts to shine through Sonny's reluctantance.....
Parts of this were great... but as a whole the conversation didn't make a lot of sense. First don't go, let's start a new sparkly business together, but wait, really, go far far away to find yourself? It's either bad writing or editing, but the boys such are pretty together.
"...for people like us" I think Sonny knows. Plus I really hope they keep Tyler aroud for a little while I know I may be the only one that would like to see something happen between Tyler and Will.-:) Not that I don't want Will and Sonny together, but

I have heard that they are bringing Lucas back (Will's father) in February. That's probably going to be a big coming out story with the whole family. I really wish he go back to being destructive and angry. Nice retro back to the days of Sami and her plotting.
Will is so cute when he smiles and I love that Sonny is the first person to make him smile in a long time. I also love that Will was so quick to support Sonny's new project, he really likes him. I hope that Will doesn't leave town and he and Sonny start to build a stronger friendship, then, the night before the new coffee shop opens, Will and Sonny will be standing in the empty shop talking about the grand opening and how excited they are then Will would kiss Sonny deeply and passionately!

@srayj I'm glad romance isn't dead :) After reading comments like "They should fu#k now" or "Just do it already", I thought I was the only one that wanted them to get to know each other more and enjoy courting first before jumping in the sack. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love it if down the line they get to have sex, but I think a young love story like this deserves sex to be meaningful and romantic instead of rushed and awkward. The pacing of KISH was really great IMO.

I don't think Sonny knows, but I think he wonders. Will is asking some pretty "interesting" questions. The kinda questions that people who are coming out tend to ask others who are already out.
Sonny knows... at least I hope he does. C'mon when someone asks you those many questions he's obviously curious which begs the question...why is he curious? And at the end when Sonny says " I don't think you've been comfortable in your own skin." I love the progression. Each episode is getting better and better.

I think its important to show mainstream society, and the older folks watching that may not agree with homosexuality, that gay youth can have a committed, and respectful relationship. Having them jump into bed at first chance would reflect badly on the gay community in my opinion, and the writers are taking us at a good pace. And yes, I'm all for romance over quick sex.

@NachoW Not true at all. I think hetero couples that jump into bed together at first chance are equally as "overly sexual". My problem is that having sex just for the pleasure is not a basis for a lasting, committed relationship. If you court the person first, and really get to know them, then making love will be so much more satisfying. I guess I am in the minority, but being a gay man and hopeless romantic myself, I would chose longterm satisfaction over instant gratification anyday.

And sweet how at 2:36 Will corrects himself quickly. After Sonny told him about his situation (when he felt uncomfortable), Will starts replying with "Yes, I hear you.." (as if agreeing, since he's in that same situation now..) and quickly changes to "I mean, yeah, I understand what you're saying"..

Although I know the slow pace of soaps can be frustrating, and the website storyline was appalling, the current pace of what is happening the last month or so seems very realistic. Everyone is different, some come out quickly, for others it is a slow process. I personally spent two year of my life at about age 20 trying to convince myself I was at the very least bisexual instead of gay. Like Will, for closeted gay guys who easily emotionally bond with women, it can be mistaken for attraction.

this slow progression is very normal for alot of gay youth, cuz you just can't accept what your life has become and what you are.. I mean who wants to put up with all the bullsh#t that a gay person has to do deal with. Friends will leave, family will turn their backs on you. And if your a guy like Will who has all these expectations put on him by everybody, to have to come out and be the cause of all the drama is sometimes more than anyone can handle. But living a lie is worse. NO REGRETS Will.

@brianpatrick58 This is perfectly stated. Everyone wants Will to charge out of the closet, right into Sonny's bed, and I just find it ridiculous. Some gay guys do have a hard time coming out, and some do take a hell of a long time to get to the point where they can be open about their sexuality. Will just needs some time to explore his sexuality a bit, and maybe his interactions with Sonny and the feelings he has when he is around him will help him come to terms with it.

Ok the i didn't realize before what a good actor the kid that plays Will is; his every gesture portrayed just how uncomfortable he was...he couldn't even ask his questions standing still, he had to keep moving from side to side as if the mere act of asking them brought him some degree of pain...gotta say the nuances were pitch perfect.

@srayj I'm glad romance isn't dead :) After reading comments like "They should fu#k now" or "Just do it already", I thought I was the only one that wanted them to get to know each other more and enjoy courting first before jumping in the sack. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love it if down the line they get to have sex, but I think a young love story like this deserves sex to be meaningful and romantic instead of rushed and awkward. The pacing of KISH was really great IMO.
