  • so sad so full of longing. reaches the deepest part of my soul'

  • Finest movie, OR musical in recent memory. Ashley and Kevin were remarkable--Laura Fabian was tremendous in the 'So In Love With You Am I' song near the end.

    Wow, WOW.

  • This movie is just phenomenal.

Screw what the critics and reviews say: this movie is a gem.

  • I feel it is dusk already

  • if he loved so much why did he cheat on her with all those dudes ?

  • @ninja1988able she knew he was gay - it was an intense love based on friendship....we should all be so lucky

  • De-Lovely is a well-acted, superbly scripted, exceptionally directed film all Cole Porter fans should see.

  • i have thew movie and my nans watching it now.. :)

  • Kevin Kline is easily one of the most underrated actors out there.

  • 3 people didnt like it.....Amy Winehouse´s fans for sure

  • Know what the psychological term for the state of being in love is? "Limerence". Amaze your friends.

  • Hard not to cry -- the magic of Porter.

  • lOVE SOMETIMES HURTS..............

  • Very touching and poignant scene in the movie. The song is gorgeous, as is Laura's and Mario's vocals; Kevin's voice was especially sweet.

  • i love this movie and song so much, does anyone know where i can get the piano arrangement cole porter is playing in the movie?

  • What a wonderful movie. This is one of the most moving segments.

  • Matiasjor79 Same here...I watched it one night, then the next with my best friends.

The talent in this movie, Kline, Judd, Fabian...an endless list of remarkable talent.

Judd, as the elder Linda was INCREDIBLE, (hell, also as the younger Linda), and worthy, in my opinion of an Academy Award.

  • Just watched this movie twice yesterday, first with my family and then with my friend Kailoa (kailoa36 on here). One word: Wow! This scene makes me cry every time.

  • I agree with ohsoswingin60s this version is miles better.

  • There is no better version than the one of Kevin Kline just singing this at the piano in my opinion. It is filled with emotion, I love it.

  • Forget life, forget strife, forget everything but the the melody & lyrics of this most beautiful song. It takes me to another place. The lyrics and harmony merge into tears every time I hear it. Close your eyes and lose yourself in the beautiful space and time of the music. God! what a great song. I think I'll play it again.

  • what a scene, what a moment...and this song is absolutely beautiful!

  • No way out man Asian women #lushfmlk.info#

  • Times of elegance, good taste e nice views...people had class.....just like nowadays LOLOLOL.....and the music today sounds just like Porter....fortunally him, Berlin, Gershiwn, Rodgers are dead and dont have to hear the crap we hear today.

Great video, great film.....and what a MUSIC!!!!

  • Such an interesting movie... and this such an interesting scene.... One of the best ways to depict the fact that sex and love are two different things... and interestingly enough... so confusing to the human psyche..... He loved her.... but desired others. Love prompts many things we cannot predict. And often produces a beauty it is difficult to describe......... perhaps except in music.

  • My name is Mike from LA Although there busizz4me.info

  • the tears start to flow for me more round the 2:30 mark when he starts to choke up singing to her- such a great movie

  • the tears start to flow for me more round the 2:30 mark - such a great movie

  • Kevin Kline is so underrated. He so should have gotten an Oscar nod for this movie.

  • Thank you for posting this wonderful video. I loved this movie and this music. I feel terribly badly for those of modern generations who hear crude, atonal, dissonant noise and think it is music. Is it possible that mankind is actually DE-volving?

  • Go Marios Frangoulisssss

  • this song is so beautiful like when they go back to cole porter singing the song it makes me cry

  • :( so sad.

  • Lee.... i 'm really sooo surprised you sent me this piece...COZ IT'S A FAV ALL TIMES FOR ME!!

    What an accident!

    Cheers....Judie:-)

  • my favorite part in the whole movie- so in love.......im yours till I die........

  • This is possibly one of most beautiful songs ever written. Cole Porter, whatever his ideas of living, was possessed of a very great gift. This also shows us that talent in writing music and talent in signing/interpreting music, is definitely two different things. Someone who can sing properly can turn this into the music of the spheres!

  • Talent to write music and talent to sing it are DEFINITELY two different things. I find it extremely interesting that this film brings that to light. It is indeed, the real story of how music enters and affects our lives. A lovely song!

  • Feeling slightly blue the glorious day notwithstanding

  • Another wonderful song of a really wonderful movie!

  • i am so glad that i am not the only one who found this film to be one of the best of the past decade.

i just don't understand why it was not a huge hit.

i love to watch it over and over.

    it is a flawless picture.

  • Loved the movie. Just wish they showed more of Mario Frangoulis and Lara Fabian singing So In Love!!

  • @geenee59 I preferred Kevin Kline's rendition, actually.

  • I know Kevin Kline evoked great emotion with his poignant portrayal but I really hated the lack of consideration given to the beautiful music of Cole Porter in this film about Cole Porter.

  • I'm not going to lie. The first time I had heard this song, I shed a few tears. Kevin Kline played Cole Porter so well. I believed him until the very end. Rather beautiful simple & complex song, I would say.

  • @XreverseXanielmX What a poor memory I have, 3 weeks ago?

  • a truly powerful scene from an amazing film. Makes me cry every time. i hope that i can be half as good a writer of films as Cole Porter was of music.

  • this is one of the best songs ever written, it is perfect in any way, a combination of easy listening and in the same moment opera style. it is so deep in his meaning and i would wish that somebody would have written such a song for me. this is such an outstanding quality as the man by itself was. timeless diamond, worth to listen every day......thanks for posting this

  • indeed this is a very good movie, and my tears also fall when i watch this scene every single time! very touching. i'm glad to watch this movie and get to know the wonderful music by cole porter

  • Just beautiful! The song is a masterpiece!

  • ;')

  • So in love indeed!!! i never tire of watching this scene. It makes my heart melt!

  • So In Love with his music... best sequence in the movie. Sad and delicate story...

  • "D'lovely" ranks among the most creative movie musicals ever crafted, It is a delight that does not wear out with repeated viewings. Great music (as in this clip), superb acting, a script with surprise, wit and elegance and a director, Irwin Winkler at the top of his game. Would that life in my suburb be like this film. Would that Any Thing Goes -- for real.

  • @SidFortune

Thank you for your wonderful comment! This movie , the music and the actors are truly a work of art!

I get chills and goose bumps when I listen to this beautiful music!

    You said it right on!

    Thank you:)

  • @SidFortune I would not agree more.

  • @SidFortune Possibly the reason you find this so fascinating is that it shows the difficulty we have in real life... Frequently of aligning our feelings with societal norms. He loved her... yet she was not what sparked passion and daily interactions with others... It is the most fascinating aspect of the move. Really great music almost ALWAYS comes from this type of conflict.

  • @SidFortune

    I could not agree more!!!

I have seen it about 40 times since it came out. I am never tired of it. I guess it's because the music of Cole Porter is so fantastic. I am sad, though, that the movie lost so much money upon its release, since I consider it one of the best films of the past 10 years!

  • @SidFortune I remember sitting down to watch this movie thinking it would be mediocre at best. OMG I WAS WRONG!! I was hoping it would never end. The incredible music, the Armani fashion, the writing and the acting are all a 10. That is soo rare.

  • The highlight of the movie

  • @tackorgybe Without a doubt :)

  • Every time I see this video I cry a lot, what wonderful actors they are

  • @matiasjor79 Oh, god, me too. This part of the movie always gets me.

  • @matiasjor79 How about a shout out to the Director, and Writer?

  • @matiasjor79 Me too!! T_T

  • Thanks Mr judie for sharing loved it

    A excellent song

  • For me Klines MASTERPIECE!

Hes an acteur normally for comedys or parodies but this was surely a challege for him and he succeeded !!

Besides this gorgeous music of Porter and these awesome lyrics of this musical highlight "De lovely"!*****

  • Man, I didn't think I was going to cry but I did. Damnit.

  • I know the feeling. The first time I saw this scene in the theater I cried and I peeked over at my husband and his eyes were welling up too. Hard not to be touched. Great acting, great song.

  • Yeah, I saw this movie in the theater with my late grandmother and she went crazy during this scene. Her husband was dying in a nursing home at the time.

  • Very true..I never fail to shed a tear everytime I watch this scene. The meaning of this song is truly deep to the soul. A very beautiful song indeed.

  • I love this song, really moves me, Is so strong and deep, makes you wanna cry

  • In this precise moment My grandpa passed away..I believe it was because he missed grandma soo much he wanted to see her again...That's how I imagine them right now...Looking in each others eyes...singing how much they loved for over 60 yrs!

  • this is the most beautiful song in this world!!

  • Kline is AWESOME in this, normally he plays more comic roles but this is a very dramatic one and ge succeeded soo well in it....

  • absolutely fantastic!! just like the old cole porter..

  • This movie is about Cole Porter's life. "De-lovely"

  • So in love with you am I...

  • anyone tell me what this movie is about??

  • i LOVE this movie and this song is one of the best love songs ever written. cole porter is one of the best songwriters eVER !!

  • well i know the movie was ok

but this scene made me cry so

    much esp. when he cracked

because he wanted to cry tht wuz sad how it ended and i love this song and the movie... i will never get tired of watching or hearing it.

  • I thought the movie was great, this scene of course was great, it has special meaning to me. My father was very sick, we did not know he would pass away while watching this movie over and over again on Showtime. This was the last movie he saw. I believe it was no accident.

  • this movie did something to me...it made me appreciate music again. this song had me in tears. a very powerful love song this is. ty!

  • what? i didn't know that was Lara Fabian. how great. i love this movie.

  • there are not words kind enough to explain the feeling abpout this scene

  • Beautiful song and its placement in th movie is quite emotional. ;(;(

    Thanks for sharing.

  • It's an amazing song which brings tears to my eyes! I can watch this scene over and over and over again. It's absolutely beautiful

  • hmp i wonder where i can find a free so in love music sheet! _^^

  • How lovely!

  • I never get tired seeing this scene, especially hearing Kevin Kline's voice singing this very beautiful song.

  • I love this scene.

  • Romantic impressive

  • i never knew kevin was such a good singer

  • Yes, he is! Have you seen him in his very first movie role, the Pirates of Penzance? Not a bad Bass there!

  • @randomist92 ---> While I do enjoy how he sounds in this scene, Kevin is, in truth, a far better singer than demonstrated here. He throttled back and even distorted his true ability in order to create a realistic portrait of a man who (by his own admission) composed much better than he sang :-)

  • This film could have beem much better, but I am discovered the wonderful Mario Fergoulis watching it. Thank you very much!

  • I laugh at that.

  • i cried when kevin sings esp when he starts to crack to stop from crying. thank you for the video.

  • Yes, I did too. It's heartbreaking.

  • Yes, it made me cry, too.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. I love it soooo much! Its really amazingly touch scene...thanks ^_^

  • amazing

  • charming

  • Probably the best thing about the film. Thanks!

  • beautiful

  • one of the best moments of musical films.

  • Wonderful! Magic!!!!
