Read a book smart guy, Bush never asked Congress for permission on anything, he just used signing statements to circumvent the system.  He used 9-11 as an excuse to give himself unprecedented powers.

Like Jon Stewart says, it is true that the country has dabbled in socialism since the introduction of the income tax, but you don't EVER see a republican president doing away with the income tax. Plus, to create tax loopholes so your cronies can make more $, in a way, IS a redistribution of wealth. So it is bogus...no wonder Tim is not concerned

P.S. The "redistributing wealth" issue is not a legit concern to me. It's become a distortion and a campaign rant that deserves open conversation among thoughtful citizens of all perspectives, like any other topic that matters. A real conversation on such slogan buzz terms can shed good light on intentions vs. sound bites.
