Not bad for a man who is now 62! hopefully should get the chance to meet and train with Peter this year friend of mine from Wakefield trains with him most weeks and says im welcome anytime, told him i'll lose me xmas holiday weight and get me fitness up first so i don't make a complete arse of myself lol
I know you can't learn to fight from reading books mate you're right there; to get good at anything you've got to actually do it, not just read about it. But a book can provide you with useful information about training and point you in the right direction. It's not a "con".
I love this stuff. Ive got the book 'Fit To Fight' by Peter Consterdine. I knew it was money well spent the moment I started reading it. Geoff is awesome too I have a couple of his books. I love their no-bullshit type of training, everything is streetfight specific. Personally I hate fighting, I think it's one of the most stressful, terrifying situations you can ever be in; but in this day and age I think it's essential to be able to defend yourself. Peter and Geoff are great role models.
This is the very reason doormen use the slap, people laugh and think that the guy who got slapped is a big softie for going down. This makes less chance of the doorman getting prosecuted. Don't be fooled a bitch slap done correctly will put you out as sure a punch.
Peter in action, excellent and love the music that goes with the Geoff Thompson series aswell. Very Motivational, for anyone wanting to learn about self defence, believe me, there is nobody better than Geoff Thompson & Peter Consterdine, their skills are exceptional and they are exceptional people. Awesome Stuff.
i`ve been training for the best part of 20 years and learnt an immense amount at one of geoffs training days no matter what level you are these guys can teach you much more. much respect to them absolute gentlemen too! unless you piss em off that is haha.
Total total respect for the man! It's not owning a weapon that counts, its knowning when and how to use it, that's the fighter's instinct, the fabled zanshin, the fighter-pilot's all-round awareness, which Geoff Thompson has and is trying to teach others to have.
i can see by the slow motion... that the power of his strikes are aboud pulling after each strike... he punches quickly and if you note he pull a little bit...
Im taking my yellow belt grading soon I allways wanted to join the army cos im afraid in the street to be honest im a big guy 6 foot 13 stone but my fear shines though like a light house .I was going to join the army for the edge that the soldiers have.I have taken up jujitsu and combact tekneeks amd love it,the sence of disaplin and the edge is what i was allways looking for,i find my self walking with confidence now
Good for you. You should maybe try out some Geoff Thompson seminars they are excellent and will really give you more street confidence and skills. Good luck with yellow belt.
looks pretty good. can see alot of different techniques used by loads of martial arts here and some useful applications. btw if u see a knife RUN LIKE HELL before u try any of that shit. if you wana survive be sensible ^_^
these guys are the best in the world when it comes to the real world of street fighting.
i've to seminars of Geoff, Peter who hits like a steam train and Den they know their stuff inside out having it used more than they can remember, i go to most of Den's seminars and i can never get enough of this training.if you don't know who this guys are serach the google a bit and get the chance to train with them.

Geoff's book, Watch My Back is a superb read... 80% fighting but a true insight and not some "yeah done him easy" bullshit... well worth getting!!

Yeah it is really good. The psychology of a fight is the most overlooked aspect in street warfare. 3 second sniper option covers this further

Interesting stuff there, a lot of concepts can be seen just by looking at the trailers.
