  • shit man, this is aweseom!!

  • Pink Floyd - Time

  • The only bad thing about working in a clock shop is you're constantly taunted by how much time left you have in the day and not to mention the constant ticking is enough to drive anyone to madness.

  • I think they were aware of that and are used to it by now. There is an upside to this bussiness, you never feel lonely.

  • Comments on madness coming from someone named "BinkieMcFartnuggets?" ;-)

Seriously though, that's my dad in this video, and having worked at the shop for many years, you have a point about how much time is left in the work day, though most of the clocks aren't set right, I did know which ones to look at for the right time.

The ticking thing though... doesn't bother me a bit. You get used to it and it becomes background noise.

Did you hear that ringing sound? Maybe I'm just hearing something.

  • i still dont get how daylight savings is important!? its pretty much setting it up forward in spring + backward in fall = zero time changed the whole year! why not just leave the clocks alone O.o? How the heck does it even save energy? someone please answer me.

  • i don't care

  • Can anybody explain the real reason for Daylight Savings Time in the first place.

  • The reason for this is to save and conserve energy. Started in 1987, it used to be the first Sunday in April until the last Sunday in October, now they changed it to the second Sunday in March through the first Sunday in November.

  • time is only an illusion

  • who came up with this spring ahead thing, it silly, get up an hour early if you want more light

  • Agreed. I know that they don't do this ridiculous semi-annual clock resetting ritual in the State of Arizona. But that's the only state that I know of.

  • I don't think they do it in Indiana either

This is crazy it also costs us too much - we don't save any money doing this.

If people want to get to work earlier fine, less traffic, but this back and forth thing just makes people grouchy

  • Indiana instituted DST about three years ago. Watching the sun set at 10:30 PM during the apex of summer is fun, but it's not all that useful in the colder months

  • It saves energy

  • not really - just get up an hour earlier
