The position of civic organist here is the most prestigious in the Netherlands and among the most prestigious in the world. Permission to play the famous organ does not come lightly. Well done, Mr Biggers - you must have links to Jos Van Der Kooy, civic organist, or Anton Pauw who is, as far as I know, still church organist. Anyone wishing to hear it in full cry should seek out Piet Kee's recordings for Chandos and/or listen to Jos Van Der Kooy's clips here on YouTube. Both superb.

Would people stop commenting on how much they liked the performance. It was riddled with errors and it was one of the worst performances I've heard of this, unless the recording quality is quite bad.
I am sorry, possibly your friend told you a big lie. I listened to tons of organ live recitals by Koopman and he played for hours without a single mistake, at extreme tempo and with extraordinary embellishments, more virtuoso than on his CDs. The same told me all the people who listened to his live recitals. Not to mention that I have several live recordings of him, none of them with mistakes. That must have been a very bad day, or Koopman was sick, if he did mistakes in those few performaces.
Thats really possible indeed. The guy who told me that is the organist of St.Bavo, and i think he was referring actually to the concerts held there in which, as he told me, Koopman made mistakes because of last minute rehearsals and so on. I was kind of surprised to hear that , but since i had never gone to a concert of him, i could not be certain about it.

Back in Mozart's day the pipe organs they had didn't have stops like we have now. You pressed a key and a whole heap of pipes sounded like if you were playing with only a very big mixture stop. An organ like this would not have been played by Mozart.
Since the instrument we see and hear in this video was built about twenty years before Mozart's birth, one would not question the well documented fact that he did play it as a child.
Individually drawable stops have been in use since the 15th or 16th century.
This organ is older than electricity, so originally, it would have been pumped by one or more assistants to the organist. This is also why the stop knobs are so big, because there is no electric assistance, so there were no lights. Since there is a positiv it blocks out a lot of the light from the windows, so the organist needed candles to see.
good playing bordering on outstanding bar the coughs : isn't it the audience that usually coughs to emphasise the jealousy at the player(s) accomplishment ...
How could anyone possibly "Dislike" this? Great music, perfect instrument, and outstanding performance!!

Last week i played on this organ!

I have read that Mozart played this organ when he was 10 years old. I think that's why he called it the "King of Instruments."

You are completely off base.
What you describe was centuries before Bach's time and certainly Mozart's.
The Mueller organ located in St. Bavo was built at least twenty years before Mozart was born and he did in fact play it.
