I saw this production twice and interviewed Mr. Furlanetto. He was so amazing, I loved him as Leporello and enjoyed him as the Don. I LOVE this song, Best.

Most definitely, my favourite Leporello. My untrained ear cannot appreciate the voice in full, but the acting is superb, really brings out the comicality of the scene. Bravo! :)

Normally I dislike von Karajan's tempi, but this works, and better, the Andante-ish pace lets Ferruccio showcase his expressiveness and musicality. He is not only cute and funny, but a *fine* musical interpreter of Mozart.

Furlanetto should have done stand-up comedy when he was younger. He'd have been a natural with a face like that.

The funny thing about this scene is the way Leporello is so completely ignorant of Donna Elvira's feelings and just keeps on rubbing it in.
