i LOVE DIS GIRL!!!! don't really kno all of her songs but she's SO COOL!!!!! but MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON WILL ALWAYS B THE BEST, REST IN PEACE KING OF POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
It's cool how Rockstar Games revives interest in these 80s classics by licensing the music for use in its hit games. There's plenty more where that came from!
Easy to understand melodies & songs juxtapose with low production but very artistic, creative videos. I'm no Dr. Phil but It seems to me each room represents the different stages in life which she made decisions. Cheerleaders flipping was in school, vanity mirror she reflects on childhood, & finally motorcycles represents an independent spirit she had come to have.
You gotta love the smoke machine, fire, colored lights & motorcycles riding on wet streets.

Unlike some eighties bands, Quarterflash was able to pull off some decent songs without sounding cheesy. And the singer had a smokin' little body, I must say.
I never get tired of listening to this song, I like the Guitars it's a great composition along with the bass and of course the sax... + that beautiful voice! =)
I heard this song last night on an 80s radio show. I wondered if this was another case of studio musicians grouping together and having a top40 hit???? Does anyone know. Or were they a bar band that received recognition.
I love the music and the mv's from the 80's. The music videos were so crazy and random, flame thrower and the fire jugglers, etc. Look at all of the talent used, not just CGI or some half naked females that can't count to 20 sober.
Irony = When you are telling a love that could never be, that you have to harden your heart, over a love that didn't work out. F**k you 80s love songs. I just hope, that I don't start remembering, how sublimely reassuring Air Supply was back in my misspent youth. By the way, did the guys from Air Supply end up becoming Brookes and Dunn or did it just seem that way?
I enjoy watching these music videos almost as much as I love listening to the songs. Especially when it features a guy flamethrowering a destroyed building for no fucking reason
This song has actually been a single twice by this same band under different names. First in 1980 as Seafood Mama. The first time it was released it done really poor and recieved little airplay. In late 1980 the band changed their name and released it again and it went to number 1. I have the Seafood Mama Single from 1980. Took a trip to Seattle and found it in a yard sale for $2 and jumped on it. I hope it will be worth some money someday!
@shaunee231 In retrospect you're right. But it was from 1981, the first year MTV was on and I am guessing that whoever came up with the video ides felt it needed to be dramatic to get more plays.
