  • glad i was born in the 80's we certainly had the best music of all time!!! :)

  • 2:15 PROF. D ON KEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome song. I don't remember this video, and I assume the producer uses medical marijuana.

  • @mzmadmike However, +10 points for using a flamethrower.

  • Excellent song/video? Not so much!

  • @puglover50 dumbass

  • @BigNuthin

I said "Excellent Song", but I don't care for the video....What's the problem?

  • love her voice

  • great song, quite possibly the worst video ever

  • o inicio e bom

  • Rindi Ross was a hottie! This is an awesome song.

  • Great song, stupid video.

  • Such a great song, that make em like this anymore! way better than todays stuff!

  • long time since ive seen this still love it..)

  • What is the fucking deal with 80's videos and midgets??

  • I heard that Bill Clinton was the Saxophone player... Am I wrong ? lol

  • @butthefollowing Yep, your wrong. Rindy played the sax.

  • Rindy Ross' voice = HAWT

  • 33 people have cancer.

  • Vids were so great then thow..Before CGI came out..Now a commercial has better effects than a old film.Peace

  • great band enough said highly underrated

  • My favorite is the drumset of the guys wearing helmets, friggin classic. I always loved these videos, the cornier the better.

  • funny how I thought that video was so cool when I was 15!

  • low budget music video Cost: $17

  • @JuraszekJ Cost of that flamethrower: Who cares it's a fucking flamethrower

  • @LittlePikachu yes yes my friend

  • that video was pretty atrocious, and the ending was one of the worst things i've ever seen. kudos!

  • It's cool how Rockstar Games revives interest in these 80s classics by licensing the music for use in its hit games. There's plenty more where that came from!

  • The song rules but this video fuckin sucks!

  • the 80's are soo fuckeN! GREAT

  • Man do I miss the 80'z

Easy to understand melodies & songs juxtapose with low production but very artistic, creative videos. I'm no Dr. Phil but It seems to me each room represents the different stages in life which she made decisions. Cheerleaders flipping was in school, vanity mirror she reflects on childhood, & finally motorcycles represents an independent spirit she had come to have.

You gotta love the smoke machine, fire, colored lights & motorcycles riding on wet streets.

    The 80'z :-)

  • @kleyon11 Not to mention the absolutely unashamed wearing of a leotard. Ha ha!!!

  • @Voxangelic They are bringing those back! Lol.

  • @kleyon11 So what did the flamethrower represent?

  • 1981? Wow!! Where has the time gone?

  • GTA VICE CITY STORIES :')

  • Vice Cit Stories! Victor Vance is a mans man with cojones! But he also listens to soft music on emotion 98.3 ;)

  • watch?v=ysNd4QGOgeY

  • love this song cant stop watching it

  • What is it with midgets and dwarves in 80's videos?

  • It's a great song but...interpreting this video...uhh ok? I don't know why but watching that flamethrower at the end made me crack up

  • This song made me cry a little <3

  • EXCITING SAX .... *__*

  • just love this song long live the 80s

  • Wow You Tube is now total shit. Good job, assholes.

  • the guitar solo is my favorite..

  • @MrSiggia It is a pretty damn good solo

  • Oh shit every time this song starts i think im gonna die...

  • wow just love the 80s

  • wow just love the 80s

  • Comment removed

  • Trying to interpret this very odd video.

  • awsome, simpson bandit helmets !!!

  • coollllllllllllll

  • GTA Brought me here.

  • @chealenb QUARTERFLASH brought me here.

  • Eighties were great... 2:07 hahaha :D

  • Unlike some eighties bands, Quarterflash was able to pull off some decent songs without sounding cheesy. And the singer had a smokin' little body, I must say.

  • now that would be a show-closer for ya--forget Pete Townsend smashing guitars. Bring out a flamethrower and toast a trailer!

  • Wishing I could time travel back to the 80s :)

  • @bruce280yt 80's are dope!

  • cool

  • If you only listen to the guitars u will fall in love with this song even more!

  • I never get tired of listening to this song, I like the Guitars it's a great composition along with the bass and of course the sax... + that beautiful voice! =)

  • Long live the 80's

  • Quarterflash is my #1 Band! I wanna learn how to play that Sax

  • The sax introduction is like a time warp. Instantly.

  • @cochranexyz brings up instant memories..and i was like 3-4 but remember it as clear as day!!

  • Why aren't these people in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

  • song writers today just don't have it in them anymore.

  • i love this sonng and i am only 14

this is my dads and i song <3

  • its not just my heart thats hardening...

  • @emofag6669 ew do u mean wut i think u mean?!

  • Great song but whats with the flame thrower at the end, thats a bit wtf..

  • underrated song

  • I swear the sax portion could never be long enough. ITS THE BEST PART!

  • この1曲でも十分でしたよ、リンディー・ロス孃、クウォーター・フラッシュ"ミスティー・ハート"~妖しげ彼女のサックス、HardenMyHeart!

  • Amazing...... just heaven

  • @musikgal17 : Google Quarterflash Aladdin Theatre for some info on them. They're still touring apparently...

  • I heard this song last night on an 80s radio show. I wondered if this was another case of studio musicians grouping together and having a top40 hit???? Does anyone know. Or were they a bar band that received recognition.

  • Gosh, must be twenty years since I last heard this. I still remember most of the lyrics though !!

  • so hard to leave the past behind

  • cool song...old school all the way

  • problem with the flame thrower is the guy behind it is only 5% safer than the guy in front of it. Notoriously dangerous.

  • @Hot80s Problem with statistics is that flamethrowers are still fucking awesome

  • I love the music and the mv's from the 80's. The music videos were so crazy and random, flame thrower and the fire jugglers, etc. Look at all of the talent used, not just CGI or some half naked females that can't count to 20 sober.

  • Best music video to ever feature a flamethrower.

  • Irony = When you are telling a love that could never be, that you have to harden your heart, over a love that didn't work out. F**k you 80s love songs. I just hope, that I don't start remembering, how sublimely reassuring Air Supply was back in my misspent youth. By the way, did the guys from Air Supply end up becoming Brookes and Dunn or did it just seem that way?

  • I heard this song on the radio today...so I looked it up on youtube

  • You'll have to pardon my farts...you know I drank a lot of beers...

all kidding aside, this a really nice breakup song.

  • One- quarter flash, three- quarters foolishness!!! Could've fooled me, 'cause I'm down with the clown, and I'm cool with the fool!!!

  • I enjoy watching these music videos almost as much as I love listening to the songs. Especially when it features a guy flamethrowering a destroyed building for no fucking reason

  • while listening to this I like to imagine Bill Clinton playing the sax

  • @undeadgods because you make love to yourself while thinking of bill clinton? wow

  • This song has actually been a single twice by this same band under different names. First in 1980 as Seafood Mama. The first time it was released it done really poor and recieved little airplay. In late 1980 the band changed their name and released it again and it went to number 1. I have the Seafood Mama Single from 1980. Took a trip to Seattle and found it in a yard sale for $2 and jumped on it. I hope it will be worth some money someday!

  • The end seems a bit unintentionally hilarious, with the sudden bulldozer and flamethrower guy.

  • So many out of work midgets once the video craze of the 80's faded out

  • Activision Anthology, anybody?

  • I think this easily among the top 100 songs (pop/rock) of all-time. It's almost perfect.

  • This song will FOREVER be a classic and the best

  • God, I feel old.

  • good song. horrible video!

  • @shaunee231 In retrospect you're right. But it was from 1981, the first year MTV was on and I am guessing that whoever came up with the video ides felt it needed to be dramatic to get more plays.

  • 30 years ago??? Damn, time flies. This song brings back memories!

  • I've got a bass guitar made by the Guitar Player in this.

  • I'm listening to this in 1920...cause I have a time machine

  • @htsl33t How does it sound on the ol' Victrola?

  • @timmmahhhh even better :D

  • @htsl33t You just have to be careful when you tell people not from the 20's what you might mean when you are "cranking it" to this song. X-))~

  • why i have to see rihana each time i watch an old song?

  • Great song! But WTF IS WITH AN OBAMA AD WITHIN THE VIDEO???

    F--- Obama!!!

  • is it weird that i like this song and i'm 14?

  • @daydaybeme

Not weird at all. It just means you have good taste.

  • @daydaybeme Not wird at all! when you have good taste in music it doesn't matter how old you are! Im surprised that at you age you already know abt great music, like a good musician =)

  • @daydaybeme No its not weird that you like this song I was 14 when I heard it first time Im now 50 and I still love it!!!

  • @daydaybeme it jut means you have good taste.

  • @daydaybeme its not weird, it's actually normal...this song is made to be liked

  • Comment removed

  • @codern It sure us!!..At any age!!.

  • @daydaybeme No, it means that you have good taste in music. Be proud!

  • @daydaybeme not at all ;]

  • @daydaybeme hell no

    im 15 and i listen to only 60's , 70's, 80's, and 90's music

    rock n roll revolution!!!!

  • @daydaybeme You have a good taste in music! :)

  • @daydaybeme No. Not at all. Ithink it is weird that I was 5 when it came out and am now 35.

  • @daydaybeme it happens cos you like real music, real lyrics and may be 80's music, too....but being sincere with you, there's no music like this on these days (only crap reggaeton bullshit)

  • @daydaybeme absolutely not !!!

  • @daydaybeme Not weird at all.

  • @daydaybeme No it isn't weird. It's very nice seeing a young person enjoying an old school song. Most of the people of your age just listen to today's shit

  • @daydaybeme im 19 and i do!! :)

  • love this song cause i feel like harden my heart alot but when i do i come back to the music that i grew up with i love it better than music these days

  • Macgruber right there!!!

  • I think this is the first music video I ever saw....they ran it on a episode of ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT I stumbled across.

  • Bless their hearts...poor mans Pat Benatar.

  • @Logicalpoots you are great m8! hahahahahaha

  • i saw this band in concert with rick springfield and cory hart back in '85... time of my life back then. wish i could go back

  • This one of my favourite songs...thanks!

  • The perfect track for empowerment when your lover who is supposed to love you fucks you right over and changes the rules because he wants to!

  • is this considered as 80s pop or rock??sounds brilliant!

  • what i'd like to know is why is there 26 dislikes?... there fucked

  • @Logicalpoots "I'm gonna swallow more beers..." :)

  • @wildturkey1960 Omg That was so funny lol ;)

  • @charlychavo I always used to sing that when this song was in the rotation. Loved this album, though. Not a bad song in it.

  • @DISPENSER4HIRE Purchase EMI, Apple, WMG, Sony etc etc etc. Yeah, I agree ads suck. The killer is, due to free vids on Youtube, I've bought MORE albums, not less. Stupid executives.

  • ... :) ...this is truly a one-hit wonder, but it is awesome :) ...i still think she should wear that bodysuit the other way, :) ...

  • @SuperJoshig Well, a two hit wonder. Don't forget "Take me to heart" that came out a year or two after this one.
