Ти гарно говориш українською, хоча і маєш маленькі помилки! Радий що покоління які живуть в Канаді не забувають своє коріння і мову!!! Наприклад гурт Klooch, живуть в Канаді а співають українською!!!
Reader, Slaviti Yaho. I can't play the Bandura, either. But, I love to hear it played. Fr. Jeffrey plays it well. I wish I could meet him. I would love to shake his hand!! =Stefan=
Look, every nationality has its own music. That is the way of things. The Bandura is ours. We don't use bycicle horns or police whistles. (That sucks, by the way). Music appeals to the listenner. Ukrainian music appeals to me. Argue with that!! =Stefan=
As if they had that centuries ago. The Bandura is over 500 years old. Believe it or not, there was no such ting as amplifiers or other nonsense at that time.=Stefan=
Uhhh, those things did not exist, back then. This is pure Ukrainian music. Oh, by the way, air conditioning did not exist, at that time, either. And, as hard to believe, there were no computers. They did not exist!!!=Stefan=
I know. I was responding to someone who was going off on how the Bandura was a bad design, and how you could improve on it. He pulled his comment, and there's me hanging out in the wind. I think the Bandura is an incredible instrument. I've heard them played on Andriivskiy Spusk in Kyiv.
great video

В смысле это же должно звучать трагично - залихватски. А тут только трагично.

Оч красиво. И с чувством сыграно. Но чрезмерно трагично мне кажется. Публика не та.

I can't help thinking this instrument would make more sense as a simple zither, with the bass line supplied by an actual dedicated bass player.

Well, as a balalaika player, I think that it's a great idea having an instrument with more than a few octaves like mine does.

Heck, why not just use a synthesizer. Then you could add a drum track too!

I can't help thinking that the bandura would be way easier to travel with than a whole extra person with a whole other instrument.
