it's because the screen is a newer technology that uses less energy but loses out in the view-ability from different angles,,,.. but so and so its feature are way more than the old one

i used to have a 6233 before(best phone ever) ..but i sold it...i m glad tht some thing similar to the infamous 6233.. i m going to buy this phone... i think c5 is better than 6233.. i hope the keypad will be the same in c5...

Hm, I have 6233 and I know what lcd has the C5. It`s not crappy, just brighter. 5610/6500s and the others, which have similar lcd (yep it can be) has sligtly better picture, more fulfilled with colours, I`d say 15% difference. But the best lcd is on 5530, it is VERY good, but again the phone is slow as shit.

Its just like that. I recommend to use white themes. Dark objects (except text) are the worst.

i actually think its nice that it cant be seen clealy from the sides, this way you won't have to think about other people (sitting next to you etc.) reading your messages..

it's lie. C5 is more fer from the center of the video. simple geometry shows that when phones are moving in hands the angle is different and it's more in 6233. this test is so primitive...

I agree that the screen quality is horrible.

The view angle is so sensitive, that my left and right eye see different brightness, gives me a headache. very annoying.

also outdoors the screen is barely readable.

I returned the phone the same day.

Well i have it and i am sorry that i do!This phone is a total failure,USELESS!First it started to stop and now i cannot start it! I read at reviews that many C5 users have similar problems.Nokia is aware of this and it can be found a new update of this software at Nokia!After Chinese shit which worked fine i thought I'll comeback to Nokia,DISAPPOINTMENT!

Yes, agreed but it is not just "poor" display. In TFT technology and specification, it is a defect / reject. I just bought one, the Nokia shop staffs told me I have to live with it or go file complain to their Nokia sales & service department.. ...real dissapointed.
