I love the new Pound Puppies even though I haven't seen this one. For all the haters of remakes and modern versions (such as below). Then don't watch it if you already know it was going to be awful to you......

I fondly remember the 86-87 run of the show. The episodes were good. When they brought out the "All New Pound Puppies" it's like they hired 12 year old girls to write the episodes. They were really awful (with the exception of "Garbage Night - The Musical" which I still have on video)

I was looking up the 1990's on wikipedia when I came across the program Pound Puppies and my heart literally flipped a bit in memory of this lovely show - I was born in 1993 and watched this all of the time and I could even remember when Macdonalds sold the pound puppy toys :'( x

Hub must be full of 80s fans cause they revived this show along with my little pony and made another version of transformers.

@shadowhexogram The show on the HUB is really different, It doesnt feature none of the characters from the Hanna Barbera show (This show) but the Premise of saving puppies hasnt changed much.

I wish Cooler and them were in it! :( Nancy cartwright (Bright Eyes) and Dan Galvizio (Cooler) i would loved to see them come back as the voices if that happended.

There's a new pound puppies out on HUB and it's different from the original, but it is quite hilarious. The writers are really good at what they do with their schtick and it still has the same lessons to be learned from it.

Its rare for a cartoon series being made nowadays to have a good message like this to send out to young viewers (adopting animals from shelters, etc). Now all I mainly see are series, about being "cool" , getting/having super powers or have vulgarities in it. =/ I miss old school cartoons...=;_;=

Takes me back to kindergarden. Got my first dog, a chihuahua cause of this show:) Dog fan ever since. He passed away though, dogs I had after were a Rottweiler and a Dalmation and somewhere in between I took care of a pup Boxer mix (pissed everywhere like no tomorrow:))
