@bringitsummo: Me. I was starting Junior High when this showed up and I much more preferred SHR and the previous Speilberg-ian shows for my entertainment.
What they should make is a cable channel for 90ies cartoons. Boomerang only shows the innocent and predictable 50ies to early 80ies ones...
Histeria was one of my favorites. Great job at dubbing, specially in the musics, good educational value while being actually fun, showing history in a much less partial view than what you'd normally get from American shows about history (ie. it actually remembered to mention USSR was part of the Allies).
all my family and friends were starting to shun me because i was always talking about these cartoons...it made knowing about history fun....thank goodness for youtube..otherwise....i'd still be the crazy 'shunned one'....nostalgia!!!
So true everyone!!!!! This show brings back so many good memories when KIDS WB was awesome. I remember I used to have a crush on Miss Information xD. Big Fat Babies FTW!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!!
Heh. I only learned of that little tidbit when I randomly Wikied Histeria on a boring day. Incidently, for the longest time, 'History we chase while smashing jokes and laughs right in your face' was always the hardest part for me to sing for some reason.
i remember watching this as a kid man i loved it that and magic schoolbus of course does anyone know where i can get the episodes of this? i tried that AOL thing but it wont work for me maybe doesn't work outside of the USA not sure
I watched a bunch of episodes of this show to prepare for my AP history exam, and I think I did pretty well on it. Shows how true this show is to history.
this must be the ONLY wducative show that a iver liked! Especially the big bang skecth: "BOOOOOOM!!!!", am i the only kid who put the TV's volume in max that time?
I miss this show!! It help me remember my history and it was so funny. My favorite character was Pepper Mills, who keeps thinking that some person in history is a famous celebrity, lol. XD
I never liked the characters or the animation of this show. But the history lessons and the music were great. I still hear the "Land Peace and Bread" song in my head from time to time. LOL
In case you're wondering, "that dorky kid" was named Lucky Bob. He was always hanging out with Cho-Cho (the Chinese girl) and apparently was a fan of Ed McMahon.
I agree with everyone who's said that "Histeria!" deserves a DVD set. In fact, I started a petition for that (it's at petitiononline.com). Froggo's definitely my favorite WB character, I think.
I think that this show's demise marked a serious decline in the quality of Chidren's TV shows. Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and Histeria! were all clever, well-animated, well-acted, and you learned from them while laughing your butt off.
I miss this show. I still remember important facts like USSR Britain and AMerica were allies in WW2 but things changed in the cold war! ANd I was like 10!
This show was beyond awesome. XD But it was so underappreciated... ;_; I hope the DVDs comes out... Heck, I hope people upload more clips from it onto here, it deserved a LOT. Sure had me laughing. :D
"You have received this page because you do not have the necessary software to watch video on In2TV -- the first broadband TV network. AOL has included rights protection on all In2TV video content and you need Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 to experience all that this great new service has to offer."
You mean I can't relive my past and watch Histeria just because I have a mac? The same with Toonami Jetstream and the Adult Swim fix too. Gah!
Oh gosh! I remember searching for info on this show quite some time ago, man, it wasn't recieved very well because id didnt air long, but this was probably my favorite show back in the 90s...I remember enjoying it more than Animaniacs...
this cartoon was either forgotten or not seen by many. i loved it. i hope they release the dvds soon, since animaniacs and pinky and the brain were released. love those too.
