  • And i sit in the left seat

  • Do you control the plane the whole flight ever? I just take lessons and at 14 I am pilot in comand at all times.

  • The Civil Air Patrol cadets took over after take off. After a few flights and enough rank they can sign up for Falcon flight or a National flight academy and can solo

  • lol im flying tomorrow at 12:00 AM my first flight too im in the pell city squad :3

  • I hope it went well

  • it did :3

then we went and drunk grog i was about to puke XD

  • LOL look at the cassna 182's prop. it looks like its rotating so slow

  • @cedwards94 It is a Cessna 172, 182's have 3 bladed props, It appears slow because of the camera's frame rate.

  • Wow,he went so fast, looks like he didn't go through any checklists.

  • i went on my first o-flight today... and it took us like 5 minutes to go through our check list... haha

  • I like the CAP but they don't teach you how to fly. My dads a pilot and he tought me how to fly a Cessna 150. And I'm only 12. Flight instructing "ISN'T FREE!!!!!!!"

  • If you have CAP pilots and members who volunteer their time a lot is possible. The students pay for their gas.

  • the students pay for the gas? its a US military auxillary, the military should pay for the gas.

  • CAP FLIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS

CAP may offer Flight Scholarships to help cadets attain a private pilot's license. Applicants who have earned their solo badge or graduated from an aerospace-related special activity are especially encouraged to apply.

    1. Apply using CAPF 95;

    2. Email the completed application to HQ CAP/CP by 31 December in accordance with the directions on the scholarships main page.

  • ORDER OF DAEDALIANS - Maj Gen Lucas V Beau Flight Scholarships

The Order of Daedalians, a national fraternity of military pilots, awards five $2,100 flight scholarships in the name of former CAP National Commander Maj Gen Lucas V Beau to help deserving CAP cadets earn their FAA private pilot's license. Applicants who have earned their solo badge or graduated from an aerospace-related special activity are especially encouraged to apply.

  • but your not alowed to fly yet, because

    1. is your dad a certified FAA flight instructor?

    2. I dont know what the age requirement needs to be to apply for a FAA private pilots license is, but i think your to young. I think its 14 or 15, but i know you have to be 16 to do a solo under FAA regulations

  • 16 to solo, 17 for your Private License

  • nope.

you can start training at any age.

    16 to solo.

    17 for license.

  • A lot of people here are wrong. You get 5 Powered flights, and 5 Glider flights. Those are only orientation you dont earn a pilots license. You need to take paid lessons to get those. CAP won't get you a license but will certainly get experience.

  • One of many CAP scholarships. ORDER OF DAEDALIANS - Maj Gen Lucas V Beau Flight Scholarships

The Order of Daedalians, a national fraternity of military pilots, awards five $2,100 flight scholarships in the name of former CAP National Commander Maj Gen Lucas V Beau to help deserving CAP cadets earn their FAA private pilot's license. • so will that help me get into a pilot program in the US air force if i decide to join up

  • @umahuma4 Yes.

  • Im not exactly sure who i was talking to since i posted that comment about a year ago.

  • will the C.A.P. teach me to fly

  • CAP will teach you about flying.

  • Oh wow, you guys are inspiring! I was 16 when I had my first O-flight, a year later I was getting my license. I'm a bit older now, but rejoined as a Senior and I'm very excited to "get back in the air"! Go enjoy yourselves, CAP is a GREAT opportunity.

  • I just went on my first o-filght yesterday!!! xD

  • i have a question, i am joining and i was wonder how many flights do you get?

  • you get as many Observation Flights as you want, but you have to earn your spot for pilot training.

  • im thinking of joining this thing. i LOVE airplanes and it sounds kind of fun other than the discipline and uniform stuff. whose flying that plane? their doing a bad job

  • lol cool! the discipline isnt what you think its not like the army.... and the guy did do a horrible job

  • @omgidontcare54 well how are you ever going to learn how to fly a freaking airplane if you dont learn how to focus on minor details (uniform) and stay professional in the cockpit without disipline?

  • cool vid 9/10
