To be fair to Hixxy, Sy, Dougal etc, theyweren't the only ones. Even Seduction and Brisk went down the dogshit euro cheese route in the end. It properly died in 1998
was there this nite this was brisks club every god dam week from start to finish he built that club to where it was hardcore is no shit all our good tunes fucked up mainly by hixy and sy carnt stand him

Aaah shit, one of Brisk's signature tunes starts at 7.02 - you can hear the Flava Flav sample (We can do this: Crashmatt/Who done it?). The video stops before the breakdown. The vocal is a sample from a Pet Shop Boys track: Love Comes Quickly. You'll hear the vocal right at the end - I'm not taking the piss either.
Yeah man, that's me at 3.14 - 3.15, lanky bloke, dark hair, dark shirt just behind on the left. Stomping because I know what's coming in - 3.39 HEAD MELT \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/.LIVE LOVE DANCE.
Happy days, amazing atmosphere and some top nights, even the chillout room was playing some awsome trancy happy tunes that made you just smile smile and laugh :-D First time i went, i got on the podium and never stopped all night, at the end of the night went to the car 2 get changed, bent over trying to get me jeans off and got cramp with my trousers round me ankles eh ho (laughing now)
Yh 1996 was the end of an era regarding 'happy' core, 97 onwards it was all 'trance' core, which in my opinion killed hardcore for a time, 99-2002 bad news, till HTID and raver baby, quash etc reinvigorated the scene... Gotta say huge respect to the DJ's that stayed with the hardcore scene and MC's cuz during the lean moments of h/core
I was abit to young to experience Kinetic, I was 15 in 1995. However, I listened to Stu Allan on Key 103, bought all the tape packs. and had several flyers above my decks. As for the music staying the same, you have to think, times change, and the sound of hardcore has moved to a more commercial market, hence the clubland sound. The likes of Dougal, Hixxy, Brisk, to name a few deserve to make money out of hardcore, as this is what they put there heart and sole in throught out our youth.
this is the dogs bollox i used to love coming down to kinetic good music good pills now its shit music and shit pills great video mate fucking good times
Track at 5:55 is one of my all time fav's.. Makes you laugh when you think about what utter fking crap is about nowa days.. Angerfist is the only producer that seems to have carried this vibe on and upwards..
go to demonoid , and search club kinetic as i have uploaded loads of old club kinetic sets about 7gb worth its a new torrent so u wont have to sign in.
what the fuck has happened to the happier side of the hardcore scene nowa days. It's like listening to aqua some of the shite out there. Clubland hardcore extreme, ffs. Should have kept it like this.
all people from all walks of life coming together to fookin raveeeeeee , never any agro or moody fookers snorting there heads off just good times , bring it all back ...please
Yep yep loved Kinetic. The Digital nights were spot on - cheese and attitude free. I remember a load of Dutch guys in combats came over for one of them, they were stomoing like nutters all night! Atmosphere was electric in those day, sent a shiver down your spine. Long live hardcore!!!!!
ha yeah me too this brings it back tho! hey i was working with some stoke guys they said club kinetic got knocked down and is now a wilkinson store........how things SADLY change
Sadly unlikely. Most of this was the Scottish / Dutch bouncy stuff that Brisk and Cox cained down south. The Scots scene was destroyed by 1997. No one's picked up the ball. (The whole thing relies greatly on Scott Brown. Would kick off again if he remade IMO).
Cannot rely on the happy lot like Styles, Hixxy, etc to make this stuff when they never did in the first place. That's why there's this clubland trance junk. Great set by the way from Brisk.
best place i ever went to ! i get goose bumps watching it ...any1 now were i can ged the full vid/dvd wiill u pm me plz thanks , would love a copy 2 keep all the memories
mate some of my fondest memories was them props to everyone that was there, minibusses gettin robbed, blinded for half hour of a double drop, freezin cold que's outside in shorts, chillin out in the tunnel sat on that long pipe it was all good mate!
i fucking loved this place, nearly every friday night for four years, the monthly digital nights were amazing, then hardcore techno all night in the backroom towards the end of it, fucking best club on the north side, more like the world. looking forward to the manchester leg coming up and hopefully one in longton.
