A tribute to Vincent Van Gogh

Beautifully done...My favorite artist, EVER. I watch everything I can with Van Gogh, I love his work and his life touches my heart in such a deep way. I am an artist and suffer with depression and emotional issues...I guess that is one reason I relate to Vincent so much. I would love to talk with him and tell him I understand...like the song says. Thank you for your work...you must love him too. :-)

Very moving tribute to such a complex soul. Your choice of paintings is perfect and is complimented by the lyrics of the song. My only criticism is McLean. The words and message are so well stated, but Don should have left this tribute to a voice far less lilty and bouncy. The internal struggles of Van Gogh call for a deep soulful voice capable of experiencing pain and confusion. Bob Dylan. Neil Young. Don McLean's voice is more suited for a toothpaste commercial.

I have seen a few tribute clips here on youtube on Van Gogh and I can say for sure, this one is the best. Well done. I like how you matched all the piatings which fits in by what's being said in the song. It can make people understand it more.

a very good question, its the Evening Prayer by Jean-François Millet, Van Gogh copied it with darker colors. i couldnt find a good copy of van gogh's "evening prayer" so i added the original one..

i do have a good copy of it now, but i guess its too late. (next time)
