  • the conductor of the CBS ORCHESTRA was the great Alfredo Antonnini on the WCBS-TV AMERICAN MUSICAL THEATRE only seen in NEW YORK CITY it was a quality local show when radio/tv had quality programs. Earl Wightson the great singer was the host. Poster do you have tape of Stuart Foster appearing on the show? Any more shows would be appreciated. Thank you poster !!!! ROGHARM age 66

  • Richard Tucker was one of the finest American tenors there ever was.

  • THIS WAS WCBS-TV american musical theatre AS I SAW EARL WRIGHTSON INTRODUCE HIM. I NEVER HEARD HIM SING AND I AM 66 YEARS OLD. HE SOUND GREAT IN THE WCBS-TV SHOW LOCALLY PRODUCED WITH CBS ORCHESTRA. IS THE FULL AMERICAN MUSICAL THEATRE ON YOUTUBE? I FOUND 55 SECONDS WITH A QUESTION ASKED AND ANSWERED WITH EARL WRIGHTSON. ROGHARM rated highest 11+. great sound recording. i live in nyc and used to watch the american musical theatre until i worked on weekends off weekdays.

  • Tucker was one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century.

  • I'm not a big Tucker fan. But he does win me over here.Very beautiful and touching. It's wonderful to see a young tenor exuding personality and confidence and performing at this high vocal level.

  • BRAVO!

  • absolutely splendid production. I never really I spent much time listening to Tucker, I always put on Bjorling, or Wunderlich or Corelli, but this man sings so well, with such a solid technical foundation, I really am impressed with him. Thank you.

  • Remarkable! Really an old school tenor. It's a pity that today never you may hear a voice pitched in this way. This is the "cantare sul fiato" of the traditional Italian school, that assured correct foundation to the sounds and sure longevity to the singers. All this seems to be lost. Many thanks for posting it.

  • Fantastic a voice of pure gold, a great song, and perfect English diction what more could anyone want. I heard him sing this twice at the final encore of recitals we

don't have tenors like this anymore. Thanks for posting

  • HE OFTEN SANG THIS AT THE END OF HIS RECITALS AND THIS IS ONE OF HIS BEST RENDITIONS---THANKS FOR POSTING THIS.

  • Wonderful ! thank you. Rock solid beautiful voice!
