Darren Criss is a great singer, but he always covers songs like this, from Starkid musicals, that were intended for other peopl (in this case, Joey Richter) and everyone raves about it and how they love that song, Darren Criss is amazing etc. Well, I like the originals better, like this one. Joey does a great job, and although Darren is great, he should just leave these great songs to these musicals alone. Does anyone get what im saying?

Starkid likes to use Darren's stripped down versions for the closing credits, and I think that's fine. Not to mention that Darren more then likely demo's the songs for the rest of the group to listen to and work off of. It's a nice starting point.

Yeah okay music can have a purpose but to say that just because it isn't used only for that intended purpose is so restricting and not at all what music is about. You can take music written for, let's say a ballet for example and perform it with a symphony orchestra. Like I said, music should be SHARED. I don't think people are going to forget this version even if they haven'ts even MAMD on the contrary I think it's going to lead them to it. Darren Criss led me and many others to Starkid after all. We don't just listen to his versions. I've come to love Starkid as a whole.
