  • mich würde dieses ständige Drückgeräusch der Tasten für die Sirene nerven!^^

  • Are the fire lanes to be clear at all times(except for crossing)? What are the rules?

  • @breebw you are allowed to be in the fire lane untill and emergency vehicle comes down then you have to get out

  • @breebw You just answered your own question.

  • @breebw They are supposed to be clear and only open for fire, police and ambulance but any space available new yorkers will drive . Its impossible in any big city to keep it clear just for emergency vehicles. But yes, technically your correct

  • @Flapperdooda

Vehicles are allowed on them but when an emergency vehicle approaches they meant to keep that lane clear.

    I think

  • @Flapperdooda It is not mandated that it is for emergency vehicle use only, Any passenger car, taxi or truck may use the fire lane, the fire lane is in the center so as vehicles can move to the right or left, thus allowing any emergency vehicle easier access while responding

  • ask the driver to cut it out with the electric horn...its killin me...

  • maybe people would move if the chauffeur would let the siren cycle properly instead of quacking like a duck...

  • @m173627 lol that made my day

  • @m173627 it dont matter how you use the siren, people dont move.

  • @CTFD13 You are so right! It is like they are a deer in the headlights and do not know what to do!

  • @raiden711 are u stupid?? the video is from 2007!

  • @raksoen. Oh my bad

  • @raiden711 thats ok we can all make mistakes sometimes ;-)

good advice: always tjeck the descripteion before asking a question!

  • @raiden711 could have been if this was recorded in 2001.

  • @masterjeezy. I removed my stupid comment. I didn't read the video description and the building in the far background kinda looked like the WTC. Sorry about that folks.

  • that is definetaly a pa300 we have them in our trucks i know the tones anywhere

  • it's dring crazy

  • Do FDNY chiefs use Federal PA 300's because the sirens and manual button click sounds the same as the Whelen 295HFSA1

  • If you look at the onboard computer terminal it gives the address as Orsay Restaurant, 1057 Lexington Avenue, East 75th Street, New York, Zip code being 10021

  • whats the phone ringing

  • @express55589 That's not a phone, that's a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) signaling an update of the situation I believe. The information of the address and incident is posted on it and each time the dispatcher updates the information, it rings to signal the Chief that something new has come up.

  • who drives for the batt chief, is it a firefighter?

  • Yes. A firefighter, usually assigned to the Chief's firehouse, will drive the Chief for a 6 month period I believe. When a firefighter drives the Chief he doesnt have to do dishes, no house watch, and no cooking

  • VIP Firefighter :P

  • What type of siren is that?

  • PA 300

  • thanks

  • @andycop211 If its a batt truck it should be an ss2000, but it sounds like the pa300ny

  • @frylock44 The 2005 Excursion with LED Lightbars got SS 2000, this is 2003 Excursion with al Halogen-Lightbar, they have PA 300 Sirens

  • this is talking at which date? i still can saw world trade center is that rebuilding? on 2:35 watch carefully the highest buidling in sky

  • i think your right...i think it is the world trade center...

  • description says january 2007 so it cant be the wtc

  • yea i realized that after i wrote it....

  • Nah.... On monitor date is 01/24/07 time 16:42:24

  • @jacklimsws well...the WTC towers were being built in the 70's and we can deffinately tell this isnt the 1970's.

  • Okey, but as i know it completely construct in 1966 but destroy in 2001.A company will rebuild completely it on 2012.

  • cooooooooool

  • A little overboard with the siren, Here in Traverse City MI, most of the time the vehicle will just use the lights.

  • the pssenger likes the siren to much

  • Danke.

  • @wwwrescue911de

    Dankke für die Infos!!!

  • @wwwrescue911de Correct!! And let me tell you it is fun to wind that Q up!!

  • I live in the UK so our emergency vehicles use blue strobes or lights rather than red.

I use the mirrors all the time so I would see an emergency vehicle coming up from behind if it wasn't using the sirens and only lights.

But I guess it's better to use both lights and sirens in case someone wasn't using their mirrors properly.

  • thats the case for most americans. they dont move over at all, or do stupid things. Plus sirens help at intersections, you can hear the vehicle so you can then locate them.

  • 30seconds in with the siren and the airhorn is just awsom, the cabs honkin there horns too lol

  • yea its a very nice and cool horn! seems prety loud around those buildings too!

  • yehh its reall loud

  • This siren is NICE, but... 30 seconds is OK, 31 is... CRAZY for the People on the road... :-D

  • AT 1:50 YOU CN HERE HIM LITERALLY TAPPIN THE SIREN, LOL.Man ppl need to move out of the way!

  • LOL @ 1:10 !!!

Alright here's your question for $50.

What do we do when FDNY is on our ass!?

OOOOOH THATS WRONG IM SORRY THE ANSWER IS......GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY CASHCAB!

  • thats some niceeeeeeeee siren remix in the beginning with the air horn. i like drivers who show no mercy when using sirens unlike the ones who use the siren for 1 second then turn it off and turn it back on 5 minutes later.

  • The reason thats done, is because people do tend to panic when they see an emergency vehicle coming in there mirrors, by turning the sirens off when you reach them sometimes it helps them to think clearer rather than just making them more confused........on other occasions blasting the sirens does the job :)

  • What was the telephone at the end of the clip ?

Is it always that busy in New York ?

  • always...

  • The telephone you heard is from the Dispatch office, its heard when the "mike is open" at that time the Chief was communicating with Ladder Co. 16 as to what he had at the box (job)

  • every sec in ny you here Sirens

  • At The Beginning How Is The Driver Doing The Air Horn? i dont see him pushing buttons............

  • if u listen u can hear him clicking the button
