Are you over 16 years old? I hope not. You sound about that age to me.
The reason why people are saying this about Shogun, is because he chose an easy and comfortable strategy, and got punished for it.
It has nothing to do with "reckless abandon", but the fact that Shogun's entire game was based around NOT finishing Machida, because faced with finishing attacks is where Machida has been the most dangerous.

@thepts what exactly is a "finishing attack"? Is that like a fatality? I agree with Breen. I'm sure you've noticed when guys go for the finish in MMA they often fight with reckless abandon. Machida is definitely one of those fighters who is extremely difficult to hurt let alone finish. Your comments make it sound like Shogun could finish Machida anytime he wanted and chose not to.
