God, doug ur playing never ceases to amaze me. one of these days i'll take off some time, download all your mp3's to put on my ipod. in terms of jazz pianists, i really don't like some of the modern pianists. i really love dave bruebeck and bill evans... they're both great composers in melodies, and the way they incorporate chords is amazing. you seem to have a very similar approach, yet so very your own. thank you doug for this amazing music. i wish u'd put out cd's but then again u have mp3s..
Thanks again for your marvelous instruction and inspiration. It's a great service and much work from someone who plays so professionally.
There is something special about the Em7b5 A7b9 Dm sequence in the key of F(Dm) that just doesn't sound the same anywhere else on the keyboard. I'm amazed at your ability to play fast right hand melodies in octaves without hitting any adjacent notes. I'm also amazed at your excellent timing during improvisation. How did you develop that?
Each time I think you've pushed the limits of your "video tutorials" to the max, you add more! This is a great one for study because once again you mix and match so many devices effortlessly and with such masterfulness. The block chording technique is tastefully interspersed with your single note lines and octave tremolos.
You're almost out of screen real estate - there going to have to build a larger one for you. ;-)

Lovely and very lyrical Doug. Although me being a guitarist this is very inspirational, makes me want to start transcribing.
