The Spanish cover version "Naci en Alamo" ("I Was Born in Alamo") is included in the soundtrack of Tony Gatlif's movie "Vengo", but it was sung by the gypsy girl Remedios Silva Pisa, not by Yasmin Levy. Levy just made a cover of the cover

La mejor, sin duda alguna, es la version de Yasmin Levy.

Para los que se preguntan sobre el origen de la cancion... Si, se trata de una version del Balamos griego. Alamo es el nombre de la localidad donde se rodo Vengo, en el Algarve portugues. "El amor" rimaba muy mal y se escogio "Alamo" pero cambiandole el acento fonetico a la ultima silaba, que no es ajeno al dialecto andaluz y no suena forzado.

Esta cancion fue escrita por D. Tsaknis cantautor griego en el año 1992. El titulo en griego es Balamo que significa blanco o payo en ek idioma gitano griego.El titulo comercial es "To tragudi ton tsigkanon" que significa la cancion de los gitanos (gypsi)

A Melkkornspn2, me parece que es una fusión y al menos el que toca el acordeón a piano lo hace como si se tratara de un bandoneón, es fusión con tango argentino. Busca en youtube músicos como Astor Piazzola o Anibal Troilo, en el pasado, o Rodolfo Mederos ahora.

Nice cover of the famous "BALAMO" Greek Gypsy Hymne originally written and performed by Dionysis Tsaknis in 1986. There are over twenty different covers-versions of this song including other countries. Nice job by Yasmin and the Israeli ethnic ensemble.
