I kept my profile blank until I got engaged. I wanted to make sure that we were going to be together. Yes people do start stuff on there which is why when were just dating I did not post it on fb and neither did he. We both decided to post our relationship we were ready to get married. Worked out for me. I also don't post much to keep from putting too much of my business out there.
I leav that up to her. some would like to take pictures of us and spew us all over facebook, tweet and what ever else there is and then there are some beautiful creatures of heavenly bliss that we do it but put it on private (do to their social network). But Like I said it on the lady to me, as long as I know and she know and our "inner circle". There all ways be compromise, and understanding or nothing at all. ox
The only thing that can validate the veracity of one's relationship is the confidence that you have in one another to honor the agreement that you make before entering into said relationship. A couple can be married, have the license to prove it, but be in more intimate relationships with persons other than their spouse. So, just because a status is posted on a website, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. The good old phone call to friends should be sufficient.
I would not put that on my fb page. people are nosey, so they (your friends, fans and subscribers) would all over his page trying to find out all kinds of info about him. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me because i would feel like he was trying to protect me from drama.
not to publicize. it keeps the drama at bay, and noone has to know if you have broken up with that person. i keep my facebook status as "nothing"...i literally hide that part of my profile. it only says I am female and interested in men.
Or as the old women would say, "It ain't no body business what I do or where I do it," I aint changing my FB status! We're together, thats REALLY enough.
I may not know cuz I've never even been on a date but I would guess the best option is to stay quiet unless specifically asked... You never know what will happen and I personally hate when I see someone clogging up my news feed with "changed relationship status to"... I get annoyed with the it's complicated, now in relationship, now not... just save it until you know for real reals. lol
What a topic! Young ones want to proclaim their love/belong to someone... older ones might want it distinguished that not only are they Not single but so is (said partner). I don't think it hurts to say you are in a relationship, or with whom you are in a relationship with. I do however think a status is up-to-you, but if there are consequences be responsible and accept them... Make sense?
I checked out the interview.....very cool. The whole FB thing has started to wear on my nerves. I feel like a relationship has less of a chance of working out if errrrrbody on fb is involved, privy to and eyeballing the couple. Folks in ya bidness is never a good thing. I recently deactivated my fb just to get a little bit of a break. Who knows if I'll go back. Love, love, love you!! Keep vloggin! Holla!!!!
I actually do not have FB (personal reason) but I think you would first have to define what rltnshp is to you 2. But I also think that there is an intimacy where u 2 only know abt your rltnshp. I think both partners should be on 1 accrd abt publicizing the rltnshp. I for one would want to wait a while due to my being shy and private. But I do think there is a point where you should publicize it just bc of wanting to let others know abt this special person. I hope that all makes sense.Good Luck!
