I lost my mother in 1986 at the age of 89 and rarely does a day go by that I still don't recall something she said to me at some point or other during our lives together. I feel sad on Mother's Day because it was the day that we chose to celebrate her birthday. During WW2, her family birth certs were burnt during fire and her parents could not remember their children birthdays except the Chinese Animal Year.
