I believe there are at least two problems with mimicking the Jewish example. The first is they have disregarded their religious teachings, considering themselves entirely secular. The second is we are attacked not only as individuals in the West but also nations worldwide. That makes their actions much more united rather than contradicting. I want to add an idea: even though engineers and doctors are not influential, they are affluent which is a primary side of these projects.

I meant to ask: do you think an engineering professor is more influential to the society than an engineer? If yes, how so?

I forgot to mention that I have basic knowledge about the Quran that can allow me to teach it inshaa Allah thru the 2 levels you mentioned: translating, and summarizing (and connecting to one's daily life).

I will wait for a response soon. There is a lot that needs to be discussed, and I don't know if youtube comment section is even big enough. May Allah guide us all!

@Hateeeem a professor is more influential because he influences the minds of his students. an engineer just does skilled labor. he said that in the video.

@agents1986 Despite my influence of your answer, I am still not quite convinced. A Engineering professor would influence his students... in Engineering matters. correct? Furthermore, don't Engineers interact with their team members and thus influence then? Can't be Engineers be leaders of Engineering groups, and thus influence similarly?

@emz490 Assalaamu Alaykum bro, the Quran will soften ur heart if ur sincere with the intention to get closer to Allah, turn on any surah on youtube and get a translation of it if ur arabic isn't too good, pay good attention to every ayah and reflect on it, pause it even if u may.. also listen to stories of the prophet and learn and understand THE QURAN.. its the words of your creator and the best medicine for the heart.

@emz490 read the Quran.. that is number one. From my Experience, by God!, the Quran answers all of the questions we have.

We need to learn about the Prophet and his way of life.

Look at the duniya and see chaos, turn back to your Lord by doing what He has asked you to do, then you'll realize how we are wasting our lives. Learn about our structure during the Prophet and compare it to the present and see how we have now changed. You'll turn back to your lord and ask for his help.
