  • Ryan is terrific. What a novel idea, cut the spending of a bloated and overgrown government instead of raising the tax rate on the achievers and job providers. This is true especially when you consider that tax increases do not equate to an increase in govt revenues due to folks taking advantage of tax shelters and tax free municipal bonds to escape the extra rape of higher taxes, or put off an expansion of their business. CUT THE SPENDING, SHRINK THE GOVT BUDGETS ...GO RYAN!!

  • The house passed budget does not balance the budget ever. He assumed he can raise revenue equal to 19% of GDP without raising tax rates. When you factor out the huge social security surpluses, tax revenue under the Bush tax rates in 2002-2007 was between 13.5 and 17% of GDP. He also promises urnealistic spending cuts. Non-health care spending will be reduced to 3% of GDP he claims and that includes defense. Ryan's plan is BS and he's a liar.
