  • bullshit! if this is a six cylinder than mine must have a go kart engine....

  • very nice work on your mustang,Got 66 too, I would like to know if the t-5 bolt right on the motor w/out modifications or exrta kits? also what parts did you used on it (trany) thanks for you help.

  • are your mufflers the flowmaster 40 series delta-flow or flowmaster 40 Series original?? one last question and then im done lol. so its the clifford header, 2.5 inch pipes into H-pipe, into flowmaster original 40's, over rear axle and then out the back?:)

  • Well done. Very clean. Just wondering if you are going to spend all that money and time converting to 5 lug discs with an 8" rear end why not drop a 289 in it?

  • thats it thats the sound ive been thinking of .just got 65 straight 6 myself going to make it sound beast... like it should ..haha

  • There sure is a lot less crap crammed in under the hood on these older cars...

  • sounds like my buddies jeep wrangler which is a monster i must add

  • sounds like my buddies jeep wrangler

  • where did get the H-Pipe from?

  • What parts did u need it to convert to a T5 and what year of the T5?

  • what cam is this????

  • @MarksmanLeBlanc

No cam ... Motor is completely stock ... The sound is all exhaust thank you for the compliment ;) but I wish it was cammed

  • @sabordobruin1 hey what kind of clifford header is that, whats the vin number, im trying to do the same set up with my 66 stang

  • @sabordobruin1 wait its completely stocko.O?? you should make a drive by video< ive heard drive bys with the 2 1/4 which is wast i wanna do but then i came back to this video and whatched @heyLeesComet video and saw that his was the same piping as your plus his is takin off soo id really look forward to a dryby if yu dnt mind:) oh and plus, not to mention upgrading to 5lug's smart not only do u get the wheels u want on your 6,u could drop in a V8. any final video of this 200ci mustang? color???

  • Finally got a better vid up man, check it out, im not running it too hard but i love the way it ended up sounding, never would have done it without seeing your vid, thanks for posting it.

  • @heyLeesComet

Love the Video and love the Comet. No problem man I am glad it was able to help someone out. Have a blessed day

  • What flowmasters are you using? are you using 40 series? iv got a 66 also an i want to add duals to it.

  • Any chance of getting a video of the under side? Hoping for a sound like this from my 300 I6

  • Comment removed

  • i like how the i6 back then sounded kinda of like a v8

  • @ sabordobruin1

hey I was wondering what exact flowmasters your using, are they 40's, super 40's or 44's?

  • Comment removed

  • I am hopefully going to be able to upload a video of my stock exhaust mod on my 66 mustang next saturday. single exhaust but I'm planning on splitting it and doin an h-pipe like sabor. easel seeing what exact flowmasters your using.

  • I like the Inline 6 sound.

  • check out my new vid, not the best camera but the sound quality is good, plan to get a better vid up on a nicer day when its not raining.

  • @heyLeesComet

very nice comet with a very nice exhaust note. Are you happy with the sound ?

  • @sabordobruin1 thanks, oh ya its awesome, gets quiet at highway speeds which is great, worth every penny. Plan on using a better camera on a nicer day, keep an eye out.

  • @heyLeesComet

very cool man cant wait to see the new videos. good work

  • Go to Vision280pro and check out my car

  • hello, your video has inspired me to put an exhaust set up on my mustang. I have a 69 mustang coupe with 200ci i6. i used 2.5inch mandrel bent tubing from the downpipe back with dual flowmaster 44's out the back with a y pipe connection in between. I have not done the headers yet. the sound I got is great, but does not have the same character as yours. would getting a header be my next step?

  • @rtiangco

Cool man I think the 40's two chamber are more throaty right ? yeah header would help for sure

  • @rtiangco and H or X pipe

  • They talked me into 2 1/4 since that what my header is. I have the stainless true dual header. Is there a different gas tank for a v8? I will try and post a video soon.

  • @Vision280pro

No the fit is very tight you need a good shop to get it straight

  • @sabordobruin1

What kind of mileage are u getting with that trans?

  • I have a 65 six with a Autolite 2100 and had this exhaust installed thursday. Sounds great, but not as loud as yours. I had problems fitting the tip on the drivers side. Gas tank in the way

  • @Vision280pro

H-pipe too with 2.5 inches all the back with true dual header ? flowaster 40's ?

  • And for up front five lug you could go granada swap, its a direct bolt on. You just need the right tie rods and an alignment to be ready to go. You do lose steering radius though but not much.

  • Any idea for 5 lug swap on my 62 comet?? front and rear, i know 65 mustang stuff will bolt right to mine, how did you get your stuff???Any help would be awesome man

    Thanks

  • @heyLeesComet

I got the rear end from a 67 mustang for $125 and a bought a front disc brake conversion kit from ABS brakes in Anaheim CA. I used my old driveshaft from my 65 mustang v8. very simple and the five lug opens up your options for nicer wheels ;)

  • @sabordobruin1 thanks, what i can use is a 8 inch rear end too, are they all the same to bolt up? i think a early maverick is perfect for mine, is ABS brakes like a mechanic shop or what is it? not sure if i could get that and make it work or not? front suspension of a 65 mustang is supposedly be able to bolt right up to mine, is the 66 same as 65 in that case?dont know much about mustangs.

You got some sweet wheels too.

    Thanks

  • so in your opinion, if i put on dual outlet headers, 2.5" piping, with flowmaster 40s right before the rear axle and out to the bumber, would it be safe to say that it would have a good sound similar to yours and not "tuner-ish"???, i also have a 200ci I6

  • @heyLeesComet

Yes that is very safe to say. I have seen other videos on youtube with 200ci's like mine with similar setups and they sound the same. dont forget an H-pipe or X-pipe as they really improve sound

  • how hard was the T-5 swap with the I6?

  • @blakazhell

not too bad, I had a lot of help from a close friend of mine. With my car it has always been tough saving and putting away extra money, but I definitely think its worth the cost and time turning the wrench you can have a 5-speed in less than two days and it makes driving your classic more fun

  • SIX BANGER WOO!

  • I have a bunch of questions for you man, first which t5 did you go with? V8 or L4 and hows it performing with the autolite? What size tires and rims did you use cause those look absolutely amazing man, props. And What car did you get the rear end out of? What swap did you go for in the front? Scarebird or granada? Maybe SSBC? I have a 66 i got two months ago and im hoping it looks like that in six months! If it did i would be very proud. Stance is great, sounds great, props man serious props!

  • the sound caught me by surprise.... i know the 200's sound good, but gee

  • thats how a 6 cylinder is suppose to sound

  • Awesome, if i cant get the A/C to work on my 71 250 i6 grabber im gonna rip the compressor out and put a header on it!

  • @StickPeopleAndPuff

DO IT ! I wish i had AC tho ;)

  • She doesn't sound much like a V8 when you rev it! That classic split-six sound starts to come through. That sound is music to my ears. I'll bet she really screams when you lay into 'er.

Very nice car! Take good care of her.

  • @thegreatkingdaniel

thanks I have been ... i get so many props from people when I am driving it around :) yeah I have put a lot of hard work and dedication in this car and from my family and friends as well.

  • Hey man nice job, i got a 65 with a 200. Wanting to just do something with the exhaust to make it sound better. What type of mufflers you have on it and how much did you finde the header for.

  • @FoxStanger1991

Flowmaster 40's 2.5inches all the way back, use a nice X or H pipe too ;) the headers you can buy off CJPONY or California Mustang, FOMOCO FTW !

  • awsome stang , sounds killer ,that was 2 and a half inch exhaust all the back ,flowmaster 40 ,perfect match!!!!!!! good job

  • @MOYA7269

    Thank you much appreciated

  • thats amazing! It sounds exactly like a V8, theres no 6 cyl drone at all!

  • @herbienbrian2

    Thanks

  • how did you convert it to the five lug pattern? did you have to get a new back axle for it or just replace the spindles? just wondering ?

  • @fly2344

Yeah i just threw in a v8 rear end ... its an 8 inch i don't need a 9 because i don't think i will be racing this little six ;) i did buy some spacers with an adapter plate to convert 4 to 5 but i just went ahead and bought the rear end for cheap. There are so many more wheel options when you go with the 5 lug ... i have american racing outlaw II's but really liked the torque thrust series.

  • @sabordobruin1 I really like the way your mustang looks with those wheels. Can you please tell me what exact American Racing wheel is that (Model, Size, Width & Back spacing??). Cuz they look a little different fome the Torque Thrust II's. Thanks in advance.

  • Nice work on the Stang! I have been following your progress, you have it sounding amazing. I just got a 64 Falcon Convertible with a 200 I6. I am planing on turbocharging it with an aluminum head and injector kit. I hope it sounds as good as yours when I am done. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind, first, how well does it pull from a dead stop, is it good and strong or does it lag? Second, how hard was it to swap in the T5? Thanks in advance, again, good job!

  • I love falcons and fairlanes and no it will sound way better ;) my car pulls pretty good from a stop, has really good torque but as i reach the higher rpm's she starts to flatten out :( lol it does not seem like you will have that problem though... i was thinking about getting a cam but that defeats my purpose of making it my daily driver. T5 swap was not hard ... i suggest going cable clutch set up. I have the old z bar linkage, it seems to work fine but cable is better. thanks again

  • Thanks for getting back to me, I was also thinking about going with a cable setup, great minds think alike huh? I am going to post a series of videos showing the complete conversion from a stock 200 to a powerhouse. I want to maintain drive ability and mileage, so I am not going to go too crazy with it. The 7 mains that motor has, makes it near indestructible. In my opinion one of the best motors Ford ever built (baring the 250) I will be watching for new videos from you. Take it easy, Jeff.

  • do you think the header mad a good difference ? Im thinking about buying one for mine ? Did you use a port dive too? O and what exhaust tips are those ?

  • @fly2344

yeah header made a huge difference ... exhaust is dual flowmaster 40 and they are just stainless angled tips nothing fancy

  • Best sounding 6 hands down

  • @audtr

    Thanks I appreciate it

  • Hey there. I also drive a 66 with a 200 engine. I'm in the process of getting the headers, and hopefully the T5 is a future mod. Now, you said you use the Flowmaster original 40 series. How loud is it? I mean, will it wake up the neighbors if I get home late? Hah. Nice mustang, cant wait to see it 100%.

  • @misterman73 Thanks bud and yeah they are a little on the loud side but they sound good ... I am sure your neighbors would love it .... Its a mustang !!!!

  • @sabordobruin1 Hello again! I'm really leaning toward this mod, but the only thing holding me back is the interior noise... how loud is it when you're sitting in the drivers seat? Can you hear yourself think? How about the radio? If it isnt too bad, I guarantee this is the route I'll go. It's not necessary, but maybe you could do a video from the drivers seat as well? If not, just answering the questions would be an enormous help.

    Thanks!

  • @misterman73

Interior noise isnt that bad .. yes you can hear the radio ... and yes you can hear yourself think ... If you are worried about it I would look into insulating your car with dynamat. It brings down cabin noise, drone, and vibration ... I definitely think you should go this route if you want a nice sounding six.

  • nice ride man, love the sound...

what kit did you use for the 5 lug disc brake conversion?

  • well it sounds great man I have one my self and have dual exhaust on it already do you have any other suggestions I could do? again nice ride .

  • @fly2344

Thanks a lot man, I have spent hours and hours in my garage stripping to bare metal, rust repair, swapping the motor and trans etc. My brothers and I did all the work ourselves. I would recommend swapping your c4 to t5 its make all the difference driving it around. The goal for my car was to make it an everyday driver, so i went for disc brakes and 5speed, i will soon get AC, dynamat the whole car before interior etc., Its all about what you want yer ride to be .. then build it :)

  • stock 200ci with motorcraft style single barrel carb, I got the head rebuilt 400 miles ago, I used original flowmaster 40's to 2.5 inch pipe all the way back with H-pipe, There is also a ceramic header to convert to true dual

  • Dude what kind of mufflers did you use ?

  • what flowmaster mufflers did you use? also is the engine stock ? 2bbl carb or anything ?
