One of my favourite songs as well as my wife's favourite. We sang a duet of that song for our friends that got married prior to their dinner rehearsal. When we sung it, it wasnt as good as we thought because we were nervous in front of people unfamiliar, but our friends loved it.

You picked that line out! Wow! It is the one line I felt self conscious about and nearly didnt use this take because of. My mind is very visual and I saw the mountains, desert etc in front of me as I sang. At that moment, the lyrics pause for the music and in that pause, I was a mermaid drifting on the warm current of that 'sleepy blue ocean' and had to bring myself back to finish the song :)
It's like each and every line is yet another sunbeam, deflected by your heart to shine on, and warm, all of us...you really are somebody very special Sunbeam...: )

You picked that line out! Wow! It is the one line I felt self conscious about and nearly didnt use this take because of. My mind is very visual and I saw the mountains, desert etc in front of me as I sang. At that moment, the lyrics pause for the music and in that pause, I was a mermaid drifting on the warm current of that 'sleepy blue ocean' and had to bring myself back to finish the song :)

Gosh... John Denver, that goes back a bit. Still it's always good to hear you sing because you put so much joy and enthusiasm into your performance. I think this is your best song to date. If you're ever short of a song I'd like to hear you do "Crazy" by Patsy Kline .
