(It is common for abused children to constantly seek approval from their abuser). Many cases are reported and mishandled. Read his later book, 'Help Yourself." David triumphs over it all!

What's interesting is that she never started out that way. At First, she was a loving mother and cared for David. Alcohol was definitely a contribution to the abuse, but we may never know the real reason why she abused David because they're really isn't one. She knew her actions there was no excuse. But I have to say that when he got stabbed and she took care of him, I almost admired her. I think the severity of his wounds scared her, and she realized she needed to take care of him.
Before this legally-considered "psychopathic bitch" died (FINALLY!), Dave had a chance to interview her in the penitentiary she was kept in. He asked her why she did so many horrible things. She said that when she cut Dave with the knife, THAT was an accident. She then figured that if he could forgive the cut, he can forgive even more "lesser" actions against him. She knew what she was doing, which means that the drinking had little to nothing to do with her psychotic hatred. Frightening, huh?
I'll admit that she looked very stunning and beautiful. It's a shame that she started drinking and take her rage out on her defenseless son David. I'm glad he lived and managed to survive such a hellish nightmare.

What's interesting is that she never started out that way. At First, she was a loving mother and cared for David. Alcohol was definitely a contribution to the abuse, but we may never know the real reason why she abused David because they're really isn't one. She knew her actions there was no excuse. But I have to say that when he got stabbed and she took care of him, I almost admired her. I think the severity of his wounds scared her, and she realized she needed to take care of him.

Before this legally-considered "psychopathic bitch" died (FINALLY!), Dave had a chance to interview her in the penitentiary she was kept in. He asked her why she did so many horrible things. She said that when she cut Dave with the knife, THAT was an accident. She then figured that if he could forgive the cut, he can forgive even more "lesser" actions against him. She knew what she was doing, which means that the drinking had little to nothing to do with her psychotic hatred. Frightening, huh?

Many have asked where she got this information since it´s not in neither Daves nor his brother Richards books, and no answer yet. So the claim about Catherines terrible upbringing is thus far unknown.

The books are tilted "A Brother's Journey" and "A Teenager"s Journey" by Richard Pelzer. Amazing books, I highly recommend them
