  • dude, this video is not new, i realise that, but i love your tactics, and im only just discovering these vids, just awsome tactics man.

  • it looks like theyre holding shake wieghts therye excersise terminators new unit!

  • sweet video dude :-)

  • Hey deep strike is useful to me

  • my freind when we were fighting told me such LIES sixes to wound on his berzeekers 4 plus invuneruble sv for his termies!!!! THE CHAOS BOY LIIIIIIEEEESSSS!!!!!!

  • @simpleplanfan

Why r u going to buy them if u don't even know what they do?

  • wats better im asking myself i wanna buy these cuz there awesome but im not sure to put lightning claws or thunder hammers n shields like wats the difference any1 explain to me plz ty :P

  • I thought moels in Terminator Armor were Relentless?? Or am i just thinking Logan+WolfGuard combo?

  • @Kumite0071 they are relentless

  • deepstirking on top of buildings is illegal, page 95 of rule book, look up rules for deepstrike. Most oponents dont expect it, maybe cause they dont expect illegal deepstrikes

  • @TinkToll

Totally correct. Th rules for deep striking into a ruined building states that you can only set up on the bottom floor. Hmmmm.....

  • I'm planning on getting a Land Raider next time I go to GW but I'm conflicting over whether to get a normal Land Raider or a LR Crusader. Can I get some help on this matter?

My Assault Termies will probably ride in it but its not a dedicated transport. I'll probably drop them off and then go hunt down and kill other stuff.

  • @RepublicCustoms my advice would be get the god hammer patern thats the one with laz cannons and get a cronus to comand it that way you need a 2+ TO HIT

  • the Furious Charge upgrade is a total win for Templar assault termies, especially with lightning claws because on the charge, you're getting twenty I5, S5 attacks that almost doesn't miss or fail to wound because you can reroll both! I can't even count how many times I've slaughtered Hive tyrants, entire mobs of Orks, and even other terminators with them..........ahh, the joy of Black Templars.....

  • i thought storm shield is 4+ save?

  • @Adrian890722 in codex space marines storm shield is 3+, depends on codex, me a dark angels player my codex says 4+

  • Love your vids, lots of good info, and awesome models/terrain!!!

My wifey and I have gotten into 40K, with 2 sets of AOBR. I have 10 Termies, but all have storm bolter/power fist for weapons, how best to use these? I'm ready to start building tanks now and need t know if I should run 8 in a LandRaider, or 7+character, or 10 on foot... I'd love to have 3x TH/SS and 2x LC termies, some day I will get that box of termies, but these will have to do for now...

    Thanks again, Isaiah

  • @axelsfolks Either way works, but its nice to have sturdy squad a character delivered right to the heart of your enemy with the Land Raider. So you might want to get Darnath Lysander if you want a very shooty terminator squad, or get a chaplain in terminator armour, so that all your termies can re roll failed rols to hits in the round they cahrge in to close combat (which rocks when you have 6 power fists and two power weapons attacking!)

  • lightning claws and a chaplian will destroy every infintary model in the game

  • I am new to 40k so i am wondering what is the difference between a deepstrike and using droppods?

  • wut do you think is better assault termies or regular termies

  • But if you were playing objectives then how did they capture it? they're elites, not troops or did you contest it therfore you secured it from the other player

  • i love your table scenery! do you have a video for how that was made?

  • you wouldent tear me up if i am a gene stealer with a broodlord i am inishitive 6 without the charge and rending

  • @hixxxxxxxxlolrofl and you cant spell initiative.

  • at 5:44 does the terminator in the middle say theo on the base?

  • how did u fit the models in when you deep striked in... you need to deploy them in a circle?

  • he probably deep strike them right into it, and then run as they were placed in the picture

  • @masterkiller49

yeah but he shows two pics. the first when they land the second when they ran it looks like. i can't be sure because you cannot see the base of the ruins, but it looks as if he didn't place the models correctly when he deep striked in. pretty minor but i am surprised his opponent would let something fly like that in a tournament. but ill give him the benefit of doubt and just side with you and say he ran after he deep striked correctly. hopefully he did the right thing.

  • @chaoskid85

or maybe is opponent did not know how to deepstrike either xD

  • Doesn't landing in the building make you mishap anyway?

  • no, it makes the difficult terrain count as dangerous terrain, so you roll a dice for every model, and on a 1, the model is dead, it only mishap if you deep strike within 1 inch of an enemy, on an dangerous/impassable terrain or outside of the table

  • @masterkiller49 Oh, alright cool. Good to know. Thanks

  • should i equip my khorne assult termies with lightning claws or power fists?

  • Chaos Terminators can get very pricey if you go mark of khorne. However, if you dont mind cost go lightning claws, mark of khorne, make them ALL champions. This gets a a tonne of attacks, but like i said...very very expensive.

  • thanks for replying. i thik i am going to give them lightning claws, champian upgrade and mark of slannesh so that they can pretty much wipe out the other squad before they get a chance to move.

  • @reedschel I've got a 4,000 point army of nothing but Terminators, Dreadnoughts&Land Raiders 'cause i'm a Dark Angels player who's recently decided to play straight Deadthwing

  • Im starting this game soon, never played before in my life, but going off what I want to paint most, Im going for a:

    Terminator melee squad

    Terminator Librarian

    and a Tatical Marine Squad

Is that enough to get me understanding basics?

I presume because I use a Liberian I have to be Ultra marines, is that correct? Any feed back is appreciated, especially on Terminators (are they viable for a new guy with a small army)

  • i suggest you get Assault on Black Reach if your just starting, its about the same price as buying that stuff you listed individuality but it comes with more, it comes with; Rulebook 5 Terminators Captain 10 Tactical Marines Dreadnought 20 Ork Boyz Ork Warboss 3 death choppas 5 Nobs its a good set cause it comes with 2 little armies and its a FANTASTIC price, not to mention it comes with the rule book! to put the price in perspective, the 3 things you listed cost 120$ CDN but AoBR is only 90$
  • Yeh man, I bought it today, I love the Space Marines but do not care for the orks, might give them to a friend and play, ill keep the warboss tho as he looks awsome and I will enjoy painting him :p

Do you think people will buy the orks cheap on ebay? if there still in the plastic frame

  • you dont have to be ultramarines.

also i suggest buying the codex

the minimum amout for an army to be played is one HQ and two Troop choices (fully explained in codex)

  • ye definately people will probs snatch them up quick just list for like $10 or somthing if you just wanna get rid of em or even more to make some money back up to maybe $40 for all including warboss

  • LOL you named a terminator Octavian cool

  • why have assault terminators with a ranged land raider i would fit them with assault cannons or use them defensively or get a crusader

  • can anyone tell me the difference between the "wolf claws" of the space wolves compared to the lightning claws?

  • i dont think there's a difference at all, just that the Space Wolves call them wolf claws

  • @RepublicCustoms

aah yea, I looked it up a while ago. wolf claws can reroll any failed wounds/hits once a turn so there a bit more effective at close combat than lightning claws, higher chance of wounding the opponent. hope that helps 0_o

  • i don't play Space Wolves, so it wasn't much help but i appreciate it. please accept my friend invite.

  • wolf claws can re-roll failed wounds to hit and wound, lighting claws cxan only

    re-roll to hit.

  • good tactics

  • That is not a legal way to place your models when you deep strike.

You first place one model and then roll for scatter, then you place the rest if the models in a circle around the first one and all need to be in base contact with the first model.

If you can't place your models like I described, you have to roll on the mishap table for the unit.

You can't place them in a line like they are at 6:35.

  • Land in the circle and then d6 run to get in the line. No shooting since they are assault termies...

  • Yes, that would work. I didn't realize that they had already run when you took the pic. :)

  • @WayOfSaimHann I love it! You had the jawaballs xD

I'm totally ready to start a marine army and take some assault termies now.

  • @WayOfSaimHann So did the termies land initially in the centre of the lower level of that building and then run to where they were, just below the marines in that building?

Little bit hard to tell from the pic as it doesn't really have a pan view of the whole building, just the 2 levels.

  • @WayOfSaimHann but if you look it up in the rulebook it says that termies cant do anything the turn they deepstrike

  • @5Bip

they can still run or shoot just like any other unit...

  • @LordEsel88 OH SHIT YOU FUCKED UP!!!

  • U can chuck in 5 temies to a drop pod, why dosen't he do that?

  • @New2Warhammer it "eats p points" as described in his dreadnought tactica

  • @New2Warhammer it "eats p points" as described in his dreadnought tactica

  • i use my assault terminators different as well but not like that.

  • I dont see why you would be reckless with the Thunder Hammer Terminators, they can take on anything and take anything back because of their Storm Shields, if anything, id put those in the Land Raider since, Lightning Claws can only take on Infantry, im assuming the you just go nuts with the TH's because they hit at I1, i have never once seen a Terminator squad, been taken out before they could hit back, even if you do lose 2 or 3, your gonna hit back hard, seems a little pointless to me.

  • i have an imp guard army and want to add space marines to it to make a huge apocalypse army, but i dont wanna get called a noob for playing space marines. suggestions?

  • What the fu . . . you wont get called a noob for playing space marines.

  • i thought a lot of ppl called space marine players noobs

  • you wont.

  • no its just the shops promote spacemarines then noobies buy them first

  • objectives can only be placed on ground floors...your friend cheated

  • no they can be placed in line of sight to your oponent

  • in the book says only ground lvls

  • oh then my friend cheated me aswell

  • You are criminally under watched. This video is great.

  • With the deepstriking terminators, try the scout hammer tactic. You outflank with the scouts w/teleport homer, keep them out of trouble while moving them close to your enemy, and then bring in the terminators safely. Take a land raider to distract the other player with the fear factor, but only have something like assoult marines in it. They will focus on the land raider or other scary units, leaving your scouts in good health. Then WHAM! assault terminators on objective.

  • u can only put 6 termines in a godhammer landraidere

  • You can put 8 in a Crusader, Crusader is the best Land Raider, its Assault cannon can penetrate armour 14 vechiles, thats with rending of course.

  • Nice tactic, the only problem is: units that deep strike into an ruin are always placed on the ground floor. But maybe the tornament was played withthe rukes form the last edition.

And yes: storm shields grant you a 3+ invulnerable save. I have also thought about playing a 10 model squat assualt terminators with storm shild and hammer and then let them deep strike.

  • Pretty sure he started out at the bottom since first picture is them underneath the marines second picture is them assaulting

  • would you recommend using a locator beacon with a scout squad?

  • I would, infiltrate them and BANG with any luck you can bring down your termies within a possible 12 inches of the enemy.

  • correct me if I'm wrong but don't the shields only affect melee?

  • Actually in the recent Space Marine codex Storm Shields were changed to a 3+ invulnerable save in either shooting or close combat. It's pretty ridiculous. lol

  • Ya....4+ was good but didn't seem to brake em but now 3+ ? o_O jeez

  • @ mikeyvengeance

    !!!! D: FML.

  • One of the reason's why deep striking shooting terminators isn't as effective is that they don't have super effective shooting. Storm bolters can pour out a lot of shots but can't really take out a whole unit in one volley. CHAOS terminators however can take combi-wepaons! Deep strike a 5 man squad with combi-flamers and flame the heck out of an ork boyz squad or take combi-plasmas and rapid fire an elite squad to death right when you deep strike!

  • except you can only take 2 combi weapons, and then, i dotn think you can take heavy weapons, the Reaper autocannon and their combi flamers arent much effective against other Terminators, which have an assault cannona dn will rend your ass, and Chaos Terminators cannot take combi plasmas, only combi meltas, which are good, but cant rapid fire and are rather short ranged, which doenst helpbecause Terminators have relentless, and your most likely to scatter.

  • You must be thinking of last edition or something. The entry in the Chaos Marine Codex says word for word "Any model may replace their twin-linked bolter with a combi-weapon for 5 pts per model." Then in the Combi-weapons section of the Ranged Weapons (page 83 in the dex) it says word for word again "A model armed with a combi-weapon (combi-meltagun, combi-plasma gun or combi-flamer) may choose to fire either the bolter, or the other weapons." This is all quoted directly from the Chaos Codex.

  • And yes, you can take a Reaper Autocannon on a model who hasn't already purchased a combi-weapon of any kind. And yes there is always the possibility of scatter. It's a risk you gotta take! Like Fritz said, you gotta get ballsy! Otherwise you can always scatter within 6" of an icon.

  • Except, tehre are no combi plasmas in teh chaos terminator boxed set, so it doesnt matter, and certain units have specific combi wepaons they can take, it doesnt mean every single one.

  • The FAQ on the GW website says it means any kind listed in the combi-weapons section. Plus it's not hard to convert the twin linked bolters. I just chopped up some plasma pistols (which I have an abundance of) and put it on the bolters. It wasn't hard. Just gotta do a little work! :D

  • I see, well if they had any brains theyd add a combi plasma into the terminator kit, even if Chaos Terminator are that much better, they still are designed for assault, and thats where the Imperials get the advantage, with Assaulties, ecspecially in Planetstrike, Infiltrate some scouts, move em up to bastion(assuming they dont get pummeled by lead)deep strike using homing becaon, assault, boom, win, bastion, boom, defenders, shit, run, lol

  • Put a Dragon head bit on and can be anything heart desires :p

  • Well Terminators of any sort are designed for bloody close assault, sure Initiative one sucks big hairy ass but when they hit back they hit HARD i guess you could say Chaos terminators are better and maybe a bit more versatile(combi's)at range, but you cant compare the Chaos ones to the Loyalist Assault Termies, as the double Lightning claw, that kicks ass, and so do Thunder Hammers, my only wish was Thunder Hammers striked at the users Iniative but cost more points.

  • giving my 5 man templar termies Furious charge do I HAVE to give it to everyone for 15 points or can I give it to one model for 3?

  • Why the hell woudl you give one marine furious charge for 3 points when for a measly 15 points teh entire squad can decimate?

  • well if you like termies then u will love deathwing i have 7 squads of termies an venrable dred and belial

  • can you do a vid on shooting termis and deepstrikeing termis tactics (maybe on deathwing assault too ^^)

    would admire it

  • insane deep strike? its the sort of mad thing i might do but i have never seen anything like that

  • i faced this dwd round 2 and deep striking termies saved the game for him shure it ended in a tie but deep striking is key for 5th kepp um cheap and just contest trust me fritz its works

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • Comment removed

  • are ranged terminators good enough? or hammers and claws are allways better . because i want to buy some terminators and i'm thinking of a 5-man squad with belial and 2 5-man ranged terminator squads. jawaballs said dark angel terminators are better but i want to know your opinionon that .plz answer !!!

  • you take 2 teams of terminators one with lighting claws and the other with thunder hammers or 1 team with both or 1 team of whatever you want?(also hammers look cooler than claws)

  • I dont think your allowed to deepstrike up to the top level... it says in the rules that if you do you always go on the bottom teir of a building

  • For the Emperor!

  • No fighting for the False Emperor! Blood shall spill and Chaos shall win For Horus and Daemonhood!!! HaHa i'm chaos sorry to rain on your parade!

  • "Of all my brothers, why you?" - Captain Angelios

Translation: It's ON NOW chaos scum.

    Space Marines, Attack!

  • We will outnumber you on terra and destroy the last remnants of your human race we will bring our daemons and warp creatures and we have abbadon we shall show no mercy to take our honor for chaos, chaos will win taking many chapters before them let the blood flow!

    -Chaos Lord

  • power hammers are power weapons

  • thunder hammers are power hammers

  • wat makes thunder hammers as good as the claws? wat i mean is that claws reroll wounds and are powwep so no Sv. when hammers are only pwweps i think plz correct me if im wrong

  • THunder hammers can stun vehicle crew, can't remember much more :P

  • Thunder Hammers

    3+Invuln save (regular marines) 4+ assault save(templar)

Has a Stunning Effect when it hits

Wounds on a 2+ (who needs to reroll that)

Claws wins strait Kill people,Shields nice because of increased chance to live.

  • ya so it depense ur tactics really wat u want them for claws are more hit the shit out of u may die hell its turn 4 ive got 2+ sv hammers are more turn 2 i want to hold u up so my shit can go someone

  • A couple things wrong. I don't think that the Black Templars Codex includes getting Furious Charge and Preffered Enemy for Emperors Champion vows... I checked the BT Codex ( 5th Edition ) and it doesn't have that. I kinda have the same tactic in my Blood Angels army. I get a Land Raider and Assault Terminators, and pile Priest Corbulo into that too. His Red Grail gives nearby friendly Blood Angels units Furious Charge, which many enemies don't expect. Plz reply Fritz, I know you read these(//-^)

  • BT terminators can take furious charge as a vet skill for +3 points I think. It is a line in the codex entry. This means LC terminators go at I 5 and hit at S6. Emp Champ vow accept the challenge gives all BT prefered enemy. Combo with lightning claw assault terminators- reroll hits, reroll wounds all at I5 and S6. Something like this will take down a seer council even at only 5 models. Trick is just delivering them there...

  • Oh, I thought that you get Furious Charge through a vow. And I also thought that Accept the Challenge was just the Emperor's Champion ( the ability to challenge single characters). Thanks Fritz!

  • dang......furious charge and preferred enemy termies

  • Great story about the insane deepstriking.

  • How do you pull off assaults before the opponent player assaults you after disembark from the land raider? afaik the black templar land raider dont have the assault vehicle special rule

  • well really you just dont, or you could wait a turn, so move up, fire your LR if you can, and dont dissembark.

next turn (if the LR is alive) jump out and move, shoot and assault.

  • Nice vid. Subscribing.

  • I am using Khan and Outflank a LR with my assault termies in it.

  • your vids rock

  • I love my thunder hammer/storm shield termies. not a big fan of claws.

  • lol in that tournament wer ther was a tactical miss launcher squad on building , if the building was shootable and u cud destroy it you shud of took vindicator and blew them to bits with an assult squad behind it

  • Deep struck into building bottom, ran after, then moved and assaulted next turn.

  • You broke the rules Fritz. Deep striking units must ALWAYS land on the bottom floor of a ruin. Hopefully that was not in a tournament.

  • Lol it was in a tournament.

  • Box of assault termies, lightnig claws or thunder hammers? so hard to choose...

  • Cool Video

  • i thought that lightning claws were power fists which changes the initiative 1

  • nope
