why is it that no one will explain how to install the xbmc to the xbox. i have uploaded xbmc.exe multiple times to the apps folder and nothing comes up. is there another file that i need to make it work? or do i have the wrong files altogether? where do you get the correct files for xbmc? Someone please answer because this is getting a little rediculous that everyone has youtube video titles on how to install xbmc but they dont show you how to install it.

@BrandonSerralta If you have a .exe, that's a PC executable. It won't run on the Xbox. You need the Xbox version of XBMC which is a bit more difficult to obtain.

@BrandonSerralta go to xboxisozone and download the copy of xbmc from there and ftp it in your apps directory then run it if it freezes just restart xbox and it will work the second time

I have a query that I've searched all over for, how do you add themes to XBMC on the XBOX, on PC you jut drop a file into the program files for XBMC. I have all the SVN and a bunch of themes but no idea how to do it.

I do not have this mod yet, I want to know how to get it all set up with the Aeon Lite theme first before I undertake getting all the parts together and modding

I'm using MA. Found a sit ethat says I need a certain copy. "either Part No. X08-82261, X08-82262 or X08-82264" but then it says "f you see MS02301L then it will work, if it is MS02308L then it will not." I have 82264. I go to play the saved file "Play Linux" and it says it's not valid. Why?

if your games don't recognize the controller like me......donwload XBCD 1.7V and after installing download Xpadder 5.3V

Xpadder is an emulator for keyboard and mouse

@sparky1570784 Start splinter cell, load your linux savegame, restore ms backup and then install the softmod again. Should be fine then.

to use 480, 720 or 1080i u need the hd cable from M$, and im not sure but i think u need to patch the original bios so the games go further 480p.

But probably with just xbmc installed and with hd cable, i think u dont need to patch anything, u just go into xbmc options and change the resolution, but xbox 1 it's not capable of 1080P it's 1080i

As for the cord:

One end plugs into the Xbox. The other is a female Usb that your thumbdrive plugs into.

Nice tute but you don't have to do it this way. Use the XBOX Krayzie Ndure Softmod Pack. It has all the files already. The hardest thing was making the USB to XBOX cable as I couldn't buy one. Loading the software was easy. Use XPlore 360 and just drag and drop files onto it, Put the USB stick into the cable with the XBOX formatted thumbdrive (I used a Sandisk Mini Cruiser 512 Meg) and copy the files to the hard drive game saves area and reboot. Works great!

You don't need any of that. This is the old method you can do this without buying anything. Type in to google. "How to softmod your Xbox and install XBMC for free" and it shows you details of how to do it by using just your pc.

That is very true. Sometimes FTP isnt the best since connectivity can cause a lot of problems.

I got my sbox softmodded with dashboard UnleashX.

I wanted to install XBMC as an app. I extracted the newest version onto my desktop. I drag and dropped my XBMC folder onto directory "E:/apps/XBMC"

When i launch it from UnleashX though it gives me an error about guisettings.xml

the hacks are very easy to find i have moded every hdd via the eporm after back up.

PM if have no look the but i only have the Splinter Cell verion of the hack as no one like the game no more lol so there as really cheap lol.
