Opera Atelier is an opera and ballet company based in Toronto, Canada specializing in period productions of 17th, 18th, and early 19th century repertoire. Persée featured Artists of Atelier Ballet and conductor Hervé Niquet leading Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir. Opera Atelier produces two operas each season at the historic Elgin Theatre.

It's a very french way of singing, much in the nose, sometimes it sounds a bit backwords in the larinx but it might also be an effect caused by the fixed sounds

We can see how stupid are "critic specialists". Ancients didn't know how to express "les tragiques débats humains" without rhetoric treatment, what Opera Magazine calls "superficialité décorative" (!). "Express feelings" is a concept of XIX sigle, it's not a correct concept to pieces older.

Lovely, quite lovely. The microphones distort the performance however, I keep hearing this electronic nonesense over the instrumentalists. (Sorry, I'm never usually such a purist.)
