OKAY EVERYONE... the TV station issue is this: You have to FIRST (T) Talk to people until you find the station manager - by default he will announce himself. The phenotype is always a black suited man; however there are several "suits" walking about in the station. SECOND, give him the tape and await his refusal. In his vicinity, wound or kill a hostage. Give him the tape again and he will play it. PRO TIP: The shooting suspect should drop all weapons and have another pick them up to avoid death

Nice, when I did this mission I usually ended up MP5'ing the suspect, and on one occasion the shop keeper (I swear to god the shop keeper had a gun)

Just take the terrorist with the lowest explosive rating, give him a bomb and have him set the bomb right where the swat team spawns. Chances are the bomb will explode on its own and you have an instant suicide bomber!

To me a perfect SWAT would be a mix of the 2nd and 3rd. Being able to exploit a more "opened" world as in SWAT 2 but with modern graphics.

I just started to play this game yesterday at my work coz I was bored, its a great game.

Me and my brother bought it together back in the days where we had no internet to get it from ;)

It was mad hard back then, and yesterday I still got owned, but I found out its because of the tool bar is hard to use, and the police officers sometimes dont shoot back when shot at.

theres a button than take the initiation off. if you press that button its easy to make a shoot out. when i used to play that i would shoot my way thru anything. the only difficult one is the last one.

Yeah the UI is a bit clunky but the concept is solid. With a graphics update and a new UI (maybe context sensitive menus like in The Sims) it would still be cool. Something for budding games designers to think about maybe?

swat 1 was nice in showing tactics. I skipped swat 2, in hindsight a good decision but bear in mind that it was absolutely impossible in those days to squeeze more out of a pc than what you see in this vid. only a couple of years later they could make swat 3, still by far my favourite game.

the trick is guys to upgrade all the guys you can from your cop pool.

Love this game, though being a terrorist was normally so much easier because you usually weren't penalized for shooting people at random. Only gets annoying as SWAT Cause sometimes you load the mission and suspects automatically start shooting...or blow themselves up if it's a level where they try to deploy traps.
