I first read clan of the cave bear when I was 12. I have read it 5 times since I am 18 I am about to read the series again. For me Jean M. Auels books have to be read yearly not because you forget them but because you LOVE THEM! I got my interest in herbs mostly from theses books. Ayla is such a strong amazing character she has been a hero to me from the first time I read the books. Sometimes its hard to imagine Ayla not being real Jean M. Auel made her so real and so different!

I read all the books when I was about 12, and I loved them! still do! Yes, there are many parts in it that isn't really for children, but I have never thought of it as an adult book. I think more children shoudl read it, because it comes with much learning, and of course also because it is one of the most amazing stories ever made!!!

Actually teachers lie to you when they say you can't start a sentence with 'and'. It's actually ok, just as long as the rest of the sentence is correct. And so that's how it works. I really hope as well that she finishes the sixth soon!

I'm currently reading The Mammoth Hunters, The Clan of the Cave Bear and The Valley of Horses were compelling! The Earth's Children series is wonderful without doubt! I've yet to get through The Plains of Passage and The Shelters of Stone. I'm glad you like Clan of the Cave Bear!

I did enjoy Clan of the Cavebear but I think my favorite in the series was Valley of the Horses. I can't wait for the next book though ^^

I read Clan of the Cave bear in 1981 or 82 as a young teen, I loved it, and to this day its still my favorite novel. I have read the first two books times each.

It is an amazing book. It was one of the first Adult Fiction books that I read and enjoyed and I think that Jean M. Auel is brilliant ^^ I think she is going to be writing another book for the series, but that would be the last one.
