  • Grapes: "Raipaleet!" :D Awwh, Sheldon is so sweet and actually said those things quite right :D When he says "sisään" (come in) he sounds just like a finnish guy :D

  • He pronounces sisään like a true Finn! But grapes sounds just like ripuli = diarréa xD

  • NICE

  • He says them pretty well... I liked when he tried to says grapes...

  • oh wow oO not bad, not bad at all.

  • Dog = Koira, Roof = Katto, Grapes = rypäle, Come in! = Sisään!,

  • good but roof = katto not kato which means dearth..

  • @roppari69 älä päde vammanen

  • @roppari69 Jos oikein muistan nii englantia puhuvilla on vaikeempaa lausua kaksoiskonsonantti.

  • hahaha that was funny x) Gotta love Sheldon..

I'm swedish but I hear finnish a lot and Sheldon managed to pronounce it really well. I'm impressed.

  • RAIPALIID!!!

  • Especially the "sisään" sounded authentic. Well done :)

  • Raipale :D Maybe rypäle would be better ;D

  • @MadeinFinlandia actually he said "grapeS" so it's "rypäleet"

  • I am finnish and for american he pronunces really good ;)

  • @gamblersblues what does vetoumas mean? I know I have that spelled that incorrectly....it is driving me insane. O_O I wonder if anyone has answered that in the comments...

  • @EmbracingMyInsanity I think he said "vetoomus" which means appeal. I really didn't get it ether. But everything else he pronounces actually really good.

  • @EmbracingMyInsanity I guess he means "vetoomus": petition, plea, entreaty, appeal, supplication

  • @EmbracingMyInsanity I think it mean ''petition'' (I don't now did I write this right) :)

  • I don't like Finnish. And I AM Finnish.

Just learning how all the words are extended, bent, have different tenses and so on takes forever!

I mean the simple word Järjestelmällinen can be turned into järjestelmällistämättömyydellänsäkään just by changing the meaning a little -__-

I mean we can talk and write just great, but for some reason we need to study EVERYTHING through

  • //¤¤¤¤¤¤12;:000====09ejpcdolpkaYGY??? aasssj"""""¤¤¤¤¤¤!!!!

  • how could raj know that sisän ment come in?

  • When he said the finnish word for roof it sounded more like look. Roof(Katto) is pronounced with a long/lingering t and Look(Kato) is with a short/quick t. Though Look is actually Katso(in proper finnish) but most say Kato(or at least the people i know). Otherwise all the other words are really well pronounced.

  • I spent one year in FInland and my finnish is so damn bad...

  • Sheldon's "Sisään" sounded awfully good finnish.

  • Sisaan and vetoomus is spot on pronounced! :)

  • Finnish is hardest language using ARABIC letters. Chinese is harder. And I'm Finnish.

  • He said Roof as Look.. Fail. Theres 2 T's in Katto. Damn nerds can't say it right.. arghhhh

  • @whackoization Eikö kaksoiskonsonantit ole aika rare juttu

  • Wow se sano hyvin ton sisään :_)

  • "raipaliit" :PP

  • what season is this episode from?

  • Perkele :) that's the one finnish word I know! Thanks Scandinavia and the World!

  • @csm1025 LOL !

  • mikä noita naurattaa suomen kieli, oiskos hauskaa jos me nauretaan niitten paskoille sanakeksinnöile

  • "Please click "Like" if you like this video :)"

Please click "Dislike" if you don't like this video :)

  • haluun raipaleita

  • ''railapiit'' :D

  • im swedish and cant believe finland is our neighbor country. theres nothing similar in out languages except letters ä i think. and its the absolut ugliest sounding language! sorry neighbors!

  • @coolakiIlen007 may be the ugliest but swedish is by far the most gay-sounding language there is.

  • @justus899 haha dont be cranky, i didnt want to offend anyone but its true. you're using the word "gay" cus your mad cus its true. but i aint gonna argue with you. i dont even know how swedish sounds to other countries. take care now! ;)

  • @coolakiIlen007 haha im not mad :D im just pointing out the fact that swedish really sounds pretty gay... to me at least

  • @justus899 you should listen to norweigan. its like swedish, but with a falsetto in the end of every sentence. ;) i wish i didnt understood swedish for a while just to listen to it not knowing what it means. ;)

  • @coolakiIlen007 well norwegian is almost the same except it sounds little bit like stupid people talking :D

  • @coolakiIlen007 Well, I have spoken both Swedish and Finnish my whole life and not only do I think that Swedish does sound gay, but the guys here (in Sweden) also act very gay...So, you can understand it and it still doesn't get any better, and yes, Norwegian is even worse.

  • @itisnoita jag slår vad om att du var i Stockholm, alla är gay där! ;)

  • @itisnoita;

If sweden-swedish sounds gau, then norwegian sounds testosterone-bursting über hetero!

Their language almost smells of fjords, sea and woolly sweaters :)

  • @justus899

the same as finnish you mean...gay ^^

  • @n1cklass i dont find finnish any gay-sounding, finnish is dull and some say finnish people speak fast but its actually very slow

  • @coolakiIlen007 thank god we dont sound like faggots when we talk.

  • @coolakiIlen007;

We have also Ö and then we _need_ to use your stupid Å cause you people there in wrong side of Bothnia Gulf don't know how to pronounce O right... (LOL aka. 565!)

  • @StarlingKnight we prennounce "O" just fine.. ;)

"our stupid ´å"? its a great letter!

  • @coolakiIlen007;

You pronounce O like our U and your "U" is some kind of Y/U whatever

But then somehow, in some words you pronounce O right but there's no making sense in that grammar rule...

  • @StarlingKnight i dont understand what your on about but take english for example they prennounce "E" like " i " but sometimes correct. i think they once upon a time dropped the letters they were going to learn on the floor and then just threw them out in the alphabet and started talking like that..

but how do you prennounce "U" if it sounds like "O"?? :P "O" should be prennounced like o in "cool". "U" should be prennoujnced like well u..

  • @coolakiIlen007 Just 'cause you can't understand a language doesn't make it ugly. :P I can't understand most languages I like.

And btw the reason why finnish isn't like swedish is because finnish belongs to finno-ugric languages with estonian - & hungarian language. and typical for finno-ugric languages is that they're so different from any other languages. and estonia is other side of baltic ocean (south from helsinki). I don't think they're so far away. :D

  • @69Flor i know, in northern sweden people speak with wide finnish accent. and that sounds like shit, which is why i think finnish is an ugly language. :P

  • @coolakiIlen007 Finnish is not ugly but as you know finland is hard language but if u say it correct hears beauty. Like in this ''raipali'' wiil say rypäle

  • @olarian1 im sure it is, still in my ears not a pretty language. its side to side with danish im sorry..

  • @coolakiIlen007 I understand i doesnt mean bad but finnish people thinks that danish is not very pretty. We think danish speak like with hot potato in their mouth. I think Denmark is pretty country so only the language is little weird

  • @olarian1 indeed. we swedes understand almost everything in norwegian, danish is like swedish but as you say with a potato or porridge in their mouths. ;)

  • @coolakiIlen007 No we doesnt think so. We think that accent hears like that. But are you swedish or danish. Different cultures and languages are little weird or funny to somebodys. And its very weird because in estonia they talk finnish but Estonian language hears so stupid to finnish ears. Greetings from finland -12 celcius degrees! In city of Kainuu or somewhere there is -30 to -40 celcius degrees

  • @coolakiIlen007 sorry i dont mean danish people.

  • @coolakiIlen007 Oh listen to your own language, lol.

  • @69Flor well, it sounds normal to me. :P i cant listen to it like i didnt understand it, only with other languages..

  • Finnish is the second most difficult language in the world (After Mandarin China). And even 2 year old here can speak it, so, does that make us über-humans? :D

  • @janiporo Where did you read that? I can assure you that's not true, I've learnt Mandarin and i found it to be extremely straight forward and easy. Actually, Mandarin is the easiest of the Chinese dialects, Cantonese is way more difficult than Mandarin with a lot more tones.

  • @janiporo >There's no such thing as "most difficult language to learn".

  • @janiporo

Mandarin chinese is the easiest version of chineses you can learn. lol sorry i just had to point out hahah

  • @nerdyQiQiQi i find it harder....

  • @THEOMGCHRIS

Ah so which chinese do you think is easiest for you? I am really interested to know!

  • @janiporo nope it means americans can make 1 minute 44 second jokes about your stupid language. Finland is the shittiest country in the world, thats why you all kill yourselves.

  • @jaimegriffin *Troll spotted*

  • @jaimegriffin Why is Finland the shittiest country in the world? I'm not some super-nationalist 'OMG I LOVE MY HOMECOUNTRY'-person, but really, it WAS chosen as the best country in the world and its capital Helsinki the best city in the world. So just some reasonings please.

  • @janiporo sweden is the most difficultes language in the world

  • @ZyXxOmAn Sweden is not a language. And swedish is quitw easy. Not even close to hardest

  • @ZyXxOmAn

It seems that for you even english is difficult. ^_^

  • @janiporo Lol Finnish is not the second most difficult language... why should it? How can you evenknow it if youre finnish? Why should it be hard? Because of the cases? You don't have any genders and only regular plural..

  • @janiporo;

But 1yo chinese kids speak that mandarin chinese, are they then some sort of homo sapiens superiore linglong?

  • @janiporo Mandarin China? You mean mandarin Chinese? Finnish might be the most difficult to learn BUT that would not be for the Finnish themselves.

So what you are saying is very stupid and unintelligent.

Btw. Mandarin Chinese is one of the easiest languages to learn.

  • @janiporo The order of languages in terms of difficulty is not fixed at all. -_-

  • @janiporo i'm learning mandarin chinese and finnish at the moment... chinese is much, MUCH, much easier.

  • @drooayed That's FUNNY ! Really ? (I was born Finnish, and it's my first language, so I am not objective...)

  • Which episode is this? Can someone plz say? :)

  • Laughed most at the Raipaleet (Grapes) part cause it was so wrong xD

  • en tajuu miten toi sisään onnistuu noin hyvin raipaliin jälkee

  • miks noi nauraa meidän tavallisille sanoille >:/

  • @rene12rap

  • @sippilandia no mutta nöyrimmät anteeksi pyynnöt

  • I cracked at this. It's funny hearing an American trying to pronounce Finnish words. Though I admit, his "sisään" was impeccable. ^^

  • tap 2 very very fast :D u can see fast reader ;)

  • tap 7 very fast :D u can see indian pussy explains something!

  • Hyvinhän toi puhu suomee xD

  • @sdadhaksd;

    Sheldon Andersson, svenska bättre... xD

  • Ei Vittu Repesin ViiniRypäleide Kohal XD

  • Enhän minä ole suomalainen, mutta olen sitä katsonut. There is no way ANYONE could learn Finnish in a few hours.

  • RAIPALIIT XD

  • Toi "grapes" kuulosti "raipallit" lol xD

  • Tää on paras :DDD

  • repesin siinä ku sano, grapes = raipaliit, kohassa. XD

  • I respect that he even try :::DD

  • They chose Finnish as the language obviously cause it's the most difficult language to learn! The most complex grammar etc. THAT'S why, not because some writer etc is Scandinavian...And Sheldon totally ROCKED my language! Gooo Shelly!!! Ihan hemmetin hienosti vedetty :D

  • @itisnoita no... that would be icelantic...

  • @itisnoita;

Finnish is not the most difficult language to learn. There's example catalanian and japanese in the TOP10 Most Difficult Grammar above finnish. And example navajo (language of native american tribe Navajo) is way more difficult to learn as it is full of *click*-like sounds made deep in throat.

Finnish is like world's 6th or 7th most difficult language to learn and all these 3 I mentioned are higher in the ranking.

  • @StarlingKnight I ignore that list, but Catalanian and other romance languages are easy to learn if you speak as your first language a romance one, as Spanish, French or Italian. In fact, Finnish is complicated because of its origin. I wonder if a Swedish or a Russian understand a Finnish or an Estonian when they speak in his/her first language(in Finland Swedish is cooficial; vid. History) and Estonia speaks certain Finnish accent(national anthem of Estonia=n.a.o. Finland)

  • @modestosabio80 Finns and Estonians may understand each other a little bit but Swedish and Russian are totally different. Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are almost the same. Even German and English are somewhat close to Swedish as they are all Germanic languages. A German exchange student once said that she could understand some of what her host mom was saying when she carelessly spoke some Swedish to her. Still I have no idea what Russian is like :s

  • @kouluampuja96

    Stalinsnaja haroshi baruska..

  • @StarlingKnight languages that are spoken my more than 10 people, finnish is in top 3 hardest languages to learn.

  • @tonglimeme actually learning the basics are quite hard but when you get on to it, finnish is quite easy. no gender articles, only one irregular verb in finnish language, the words are quite long but those makes the sentences simple. finnish isn't that hard what people actually think

  • @ownedzaros wow you are so wrong. where are you from? who can possibly be that stupid?

  • @tonglimeme im from finland, i've even studied the finnish language's history and culture and it's not hard. even my native language teacher knows this, he's studied the history of finnish language and knows it, he even works at a high standard secondary school, he knows these kind of stuffs. get some research before you say something which is completely wrong. you must be one of those ignorant people who then just don't know anything about and say something stupid.

  • @ownedzaros no i know that finnish is hard because i have friends who come from somalia, russia, sweden, states, england, etc. and they have lived in finland for 5 years and they still dont know the language. i know that finnish is hard because im half finnish half american. so you can stick your dumbass studies up your ass. maybe we can continue the conversasion in finnish? you know absolutely nothing about the language.

  • @ownedzaros en vertaa pelkästää englantii vaa jokasee vitun kielee mitä täs planeetal puhutaa. kokonaisuudessa suomi on vitun vaikee kieli. oliko muuta? noi sun "i studied this and that" ja "my teacher this and that" voit tunkee anuksees. idiootti.

  • @tonglimeme ''jokases vitun kieles mitä täs planeetas puh
