@oldfartrants Why are you so hateful. Why do you ridicule God and his word. You will pay the price one day with your lost and depraved soul. I know you're miserable and I know you hate. God have mercy on you.
Savage ignores the parts of the bible that don't support his feminist ideology and just uses it when it suits his agenda which is just disgusting and shameful.
If he reads the bible 100 times about a babe being a man's master and then worships Sarah Palin he should retire. He either is losing his mind or is a complete huckster or this whole being banned in Britian has just made him become a patsy. I know he was raised mostly by woman as he was the younger brother of a sister but how can he read from the bible and then just support Sarah Palin with "a man" with this background would be considered a joke and a RINO.
Savage is becoming a complete huckster IMO. She supports title IX and this idea that men and women are the same which is completely against the bible. Her limited history shows her to be a big government type leader. She spent for a sport statium in Wasilla. She is obsessed with women in sports which is not something that is a conservative value. Her husband and the independence party support both of them who the independence party went to Iran to push Alaska being their own country.
I really am losing all respect for Savage. On todays show he reads over and over again about women being the man's master. I go on his web site and on his show and what is HE DOING. Supporting Sarah Palin. A woman who has a limited history and never visited Israel before this. She supported Rand Paul and clearly she knows she has to support Israel even though where was she before this. Chabad who loves to abuse other men support her. That doesn't prove anything. OU supports Hillary.
I have seen that, the people who didn't read he Holy Bible substituted it with Porn as their value system; everyone has needs, but we see people openly abuse themselves and actively deny Jesus Christ and God, because they might feel like they couldn't satisfy themselves with porn--weird is as weird does. By acceptance of Christ we are divided from the World, because we choose to live by the spirit instead of the flesh--the flesh is corrupt, the spirit has the truth.
This is from Matthew and since Jesus Christ is taken to be fully God (and fully human) by the Church and it's followers, here is a PERFECT example of God incarnate condemning an evil like slavery. Sorry pal, but you cannot argue with that one.
Even if I accept that it was, for lack of a better word, 'slavery', the God of the Hebrews ultimately did not approve/condone the keeping of slaves. It all goes back to the Exodus story. God himself liberated the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt. This is why YHWH is often called the "Liberator." Get into the Prophets in the Bible and you see how God is ANGRY that the Hebrews are mistreating their brothers. Slavery was not a part of God's plan for humanity and he threatened the Hebrews b/c of it.
""And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty: Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him."
This was the video that made me unsubscribe. The Bible is the ultimate cherry picker's delight - there's something there for everyone to reinforce their individual beliefs with. Just read a passage out loud and say - "gee wiz, that's what I (have been/will be) (saying/thinking) - therefore I am godly and morally justified. I win! Tah Dah!" Every religious person thinks that God is in their corner. The Bible as a moral compass? This would be unacceptable by Jeffrey Dahmer's standards.
@Steadno Chances are you have either not read the Jewish/Christian Bible (Old and New Testament) or if you have, it has been so outside an academic study. I have a degree in Theology and Religious Studies and on a simple level, the Bible verses are NOT formulated out of individualistic beliefs and personal "justifications" but rather generations of religious tradition. Cherry picking is not the the intent of the holy text(s). Btw, you can thank the Hebrews for much of the moral law we have today
@Steadno , please explain. Give me exact verses that will prove your points. All of them. I would love to have them right here on youtube. I can surely give you verses right here that will refute every one of them, just try me.
@Steadno This is referring to servitude. Don't tell me that we today cannot pay for someone to serve us. It's not much different in this scripture....some things are lost in the translation. The servants then were treated better by the Hebrews than many people are treated today!!!
@missfrear Very good point ma'am. 'Slavery' is often the translation taken from the early Greek texts but there have been many German and other slav translations that insist upon the word being closer to 'servitude' or 'waged service' even.
@missfrear its slavery point blank. dont try and retro fit for it to today cause it is politically incorrect. Its either that or admit to a mistranslation which is compound worse.
@Steadno I was wrong about that, that was not Solomon...it was David who lost his first born. Solomon lost his entire kingdom over having too many wives.
@missfrear cite the scitpture AND if true then soloman would have been punished for the same thing too. that is if youre saying your god does change. be very careful cause i will call you on it.
@Steadno Again my friend, let's not jump the gun. I know you have not studied religion before so we can take it slowly. First of all, all of those things you mentioned were not unique to the ancient Hebrews and what was in the "Law" as revealed to Moses, though there were questionable things in it by today's standards, God ultimately wanted the Hebrews to take care of the poor, oppressed, widows, and orphans. The "ritual law" soon became unimportant to God. Don't overstate the bad here.
@Steadno I know all I need to know about you by the way in which you argue your points. Simply put, you have no argument, therefore you have no actual correctness. Now on slavery, as you probably did not know, slavery under the ancient hebrews was a LIMITED practice. Slaves could NOT be killed and here's the kicker, they HAD to be released after 6 years of work (most of them were poor who entered into slavery for work and pay). Don't believe me, try reading other OT sections:
@celticwomanfan01 this is very easy it was SLAVERY no matter how you try and jigger it. read the scriptures and the god of the torah claims to NEVER CHANGE. pain of truth
@Steadno Your comment makes no sense. I can see you are grasping at straws, fine, I understand. Try to actually prove your case with logical arguments and textual examples. Here's a tip: Start by disproving or discrediting my post about slaves being set free after 6 years of work. Start with that pal before you dig yourself into a hole of ignorance you can't get out of. Please. Just try to be intelligent here.
@celticwomanfan01 . meh doesnt matter. it gave rules for [continuing] slavery of human beings NOT ending it. continue picking and choosing at the buffet of your strange faith.
@Steadno I posted my previous comment before I saw your response....and you are dead wrong. Just read the Prophets. God is "pissed" that the Hebrews are mistreating one another and only following the ritual laws. There is a strong emphasis on ending slavery and restoring harmony within society.
@missfrear anyone you believes in invisible and inaudible beings that live in the sky and thinks they can read your mind etc...oh wait...you feel him in your heart...you have had a personal and emotional experience to confirm that its all true.
@Steadno So, now, you are changing the subject...do you want to talk about a personal relationship with God? ...or do you want to have an intelligent conversation about Bible History?
@missfrear its all the same topic. in this case a jew or a christian with automatically defend anything from the bible and dance all night so that what they believe can seem right. i know cause i did it for 25 years. the trick is they get you when youre young (about 5 your old) so you are brainwashed for life. i dont expect you to escape cause most never do.
@missfrear if youre talking about something greater than us sure. now if youre talking about narrowing it down to christianity or any religion then it shows you have been tainted by man. as for your dreams and visions those are subjective and cant prove anything outside of your mind.
@celticwomanfan01 free after six years? how bout no slaves at all. now there is an idea! keep trying. find me a scripture where your god says that slavery at any level is evil. see you next year!
@Steadno I think you need to define slavery. And, you should study the culture of the time. One cannot logically super-impose today's culture on the people of the past, and consider himself sane.
@Steadno I have seen your site. You are picking on this to pick on God. I think you should take your grievances to your prayer room, and wait for an answer from The Most High.
@drayj14, There are a lot of people who take scriptures out of context, and try to use them for their own advantage,... that's true...but I have not heard Dr. Savage do that. I listen every day. Perhaps you are a bit reluctant to hear anything that is scripturally true....? Do you even have any concept of what "truth" is? What is YOUR moral compass? What is the standard by which you measure truth?
@missfrear You really don't think that Mike is using Bible as a justification for his beliefs? C'mon man. Just replay this video. He reads the verses he has pre-selected for his purpose then expounds their meaning to directly coincide with his agenda. He pandering to the religious audience which wasn't something he started doing until the last year or two. Please don't sideline the main argument by attacking my character or beliefs. It's cheap and does not diminish the validity of my point.
@drayj14 I believe that he reads, and comments according to his true thinking. What's wrong with speaking one's own mind? Is there now censorship of the mind?
@missfrear You are free to say anything you like. But you, or anyone else, are not free from criticism. There is a difference between criticism and censorship. I find it troubling that I need to correct you at every time you comment. Please try to keep up and try to avoid muddling up the argument with side items. Let's stick to the main point which is that Mike is cherry picking Bible verses that work for his cause. Last point: personal truth and absolute truth are very different things.
@drayj14 He is cherry picking? How can you cherry pick scripture. Anyone can understand what verses are translated. What are you a prophet or something? I am a christian now for 20 years and what verses he is reading do have correct translation.
@zatoichi1969 cherry picked? again you must study scripture then you will understand. God had made the Bible for everyone to understand and try to live by. Otherwise then what is the point of God even having his bible for us to read.
@DemocratsRliars Don't play dumb.Maybe you're not playing though - you actually could be that dumb.See zatoichi1969's comment below. You've been a Christian for 20+ years but you haven't researched it's origins. No one knows who wrote some of the books. Why were certain books accepted as cannon and not others? Some of the books as you see them have been updated/revised/altered by countless scribes throughout the last couple of thousand of years and differ greatly from the earliest known manuscripts
Do you really accept the Bible as the inerrant word of God?Are you aware that there are multiple competing truth claims from a slew of other religions that are incompatible with Christianity and that also contradict the Bibles teachings? What makes the Bible the right holy book? Why don't you believe in Poseidon, Alllah, Odin, or Osiris?=Because you weren't brought up in those cultures/times. The evidence for those gods are no more or less compelling than your god. Youtube:"who wrote the bible".
@drayj14 Well yh I know what I know is right and you go with what you think is right. And you were not brought up in those times either. Also I don't need to go to "who wrote the Bible" on you tube because I know who already did and I don't need some biased crapola thats some lying anti- bible person has put out there. So don't even try. Have a nice day.
@DemocratsRliars Allow me to paraphrase what you just said if you don't mind:"I'm going to believe what I believe regardless of whether it is right or wrong, true or untrue.I also don't want to change my mind or be challenged in any way and have already decided NOT to investigate anything for myself(even if it seems fishy)because I really really really believe that my holy book was written by God! End of story, conversation over! Besides, anyone who doubts the Bible is a lying heathen." - Fantastic
@drayj14 I also believe that the Bible is inspired by God and is 100% true. Michael is quoting scripture. And if you listen to what he is reading it dos go toward everyday living . In many way the scriptures are the way God wants each individual to see it just as you do. I don't think that anyone could say who is reading it the right or wrong way agreed. But Ihappen to agree the way Michael sees it. I am not a Heathen.
@DemocratsRliars My previous comment was a paraphrase-I was restating what you said in more direct terms to show you howRidiculous youSound.I don't agree with what you said-I think your comment demonstrates theChildlike stubbornness that religiousPeople have when it comes to alternative viewpoints about their religion.People would sooner abandon the conversation and close off all of their faculties of reason rather than question who wrote and assembled the Bible. Here's a hint - it wasn't Jesus.
@drayj14 I have decided not to communicate with an imature 28 year old who hasn't any intellegence what so ever.Go back to school and learn something and then maybe I will pick up some more educated mature conversation , hopefully if you get any intellegence radical man. Or should I say girli man?
@davidandAim Indeed you did. As the writer I have a very good idea of the type of comments I would make about this video. I'm confused as to your point though. Do you think I contradicted myself and are hoping that if I reread my comments I'll discover an erroneous judgment or irrational comment? Or is there something that you wanted to point out or challenge? Please articulate exactly what you are driving at sir. Thanks.
@drayj14 If you cannot understand the simple question I asked or suggested then you might want to rethink your IQ level. Geez, a 2 year old could answer my question correctly.
@davidandAim You said: "Hey by the way while your lecturing everyone else out there . Why not read your own comments?" This is a vague comment and I'm not sure what your point is. I'm not sure how else to explain myself. If there is something specific that I should be looking for or if you have an angle you are shooting for - please explain. I'm just asking you to articulate your thoughts. That's it. Clear communication is the key to us having a successful dialogue - I'm not telepathic. Thanks!

Here's the ultimate commandment ( from Hebrew Rabbi, Jesus Christ)
36Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

@drayj14 He is cherry picking? How can you cherry pick scripture. Anyone can understand what verses are translated. What are you a prophet or something? I am a christian now for 20 years and what verses he is reading do have correct translation.
DemocratsRliars 1 year ago
@DemocratsRliars scripture has always been cherry picked.
zatoichi1969 1 year ago
@zatoichi1969 cherry picked? again you must study scripture then you will understand. God had made the Bible for everyone to understand and try to live by. Otherwise then what is the point of God even having his bible for us to read.
DemocratsRliars 1 year ago
@DemocratsRliars again, some cherry pick verses to forward their own agenda, not neccessarily God's.
zatoichi1969 1 year ago
@zatoichi1969 It's kind of hard to read the Bible in one sitting.
steamidjf 1 year ago
@steamidjf Is that how you became an expert or did you read the pop up book version.
zatoichi1969 1 year ago
@zatoichi1969 I actually became an expert while reading the Bible in that one sitting. I must tell you, it's pretty difficult.
steamidjf 1 year ago
@steamidjf hahahahah thats a good one.
zatoichi1969 1 year ago

Youtube:"who wrote the bible".
drayj14 1 year ago

Besides, anyone who doubts the Bible is a lying heathen." - Fantastic
drayj14 1 year ago

@drayj14 Hey by the way while your lecturing everyone else out there . Why not read your own comments?
davidandAim 1 year ago
@davidandAim Sure. Any comment that you care to suggest that I read? Thanks!
drayj14 1 year ago
@drayj14 hmmm can't think of any at the moment. But didn't I say READ your own comments?
davidandAim 1 year ago
@davidandAim Indeed you did. As the writer I have a very good idea of the type of comments I would make about this video. I'm confused as to your point though. Do you think I contradicted myself and are hoping that if I reread my comments I'll discover an erroneous judgment or irrational comment? Or is there something that you wanted to point out or challenge? Please articulate exactly what you are driving at sir. Thanks.
drayj14 1 year ago

Thanks!
