  • Thanks :D

  • Don't forget to run them in Safe Mode........

  • I did it.....you can try this. Right click on the "Privacy Protection" icon on your desktop and choose "Properties". Go to "Shortcut" and click "Find Target". A window will appear showing the executable "Privacy Protection" file. DELETE this file. Please delete the Privacy Protection shortcut on your desktop as well. Go to Recycle Bin and delete both files which will delete them permanently. Restart you PC. Good Luck.

  • Ok I'll give it a try

  • Holy smokes I think I can get rid of this. Uses the trojan killer to find it and just changed its name so that it can stop me from going on the net. Now I just have to uninstall it and the rootkit.

  • I have this right now.

Somehow, it crashed on start up? Now I can open task manager, privacy.exe is in C:\ProgramData and j1Y7FB.dat hash.dat and ezsidmv.dat with ss.ini is in there... never seen them before. Did this come with privacy.exe?

  • Guys, you can run your pc in "safe mode with networking" so the virus won't be bugging you while doing all this .. it worked for me atleast

  • I found it in the document files and it says I need permission to delete it I don't know what that means?

  • @firefox7061 Try changing the name.

  • hoca, türkçe bilmiyorsundur ama allah ne muradın varsa versin. söyle birileri çevirsin. yemin ederim aynştayn gibi adamsın.

  • thank you for mentioning that you may have to try 3 times to kill the privacy.exe i was about to give up after 2 nd try :)

  • Is the Trojan killer a virus to? Cuz need help getting rid of this

  • @firefox7061 Just wanted to mention, I don't think so... hopefully. I downloaded it from CNet and it's pretty easy to uninstall. Also, you do have to pay for the version to remove it, but I checked on the Internet, and it showed how to uninstall it easily. Looked at difference sources and they mostly have the same procedure.

  • This saved my computer thanks a lot! :D

  • Wow. Thanks. One Question. Is this a virus or someone trying to get your money? :o

  • @doggwalker1 ........

  • @198cvx wow i can't believe thats all it took.

  • @198cvx :) thanks for the tip :) :) :)

  • @198cvx hey thnx man!! it really work !! you're the best man!!

  • @198cvx I can't thank you enough! That got rid of it straight away! And before it did any serious damage too :)

  • Deleted privacy.exe from ApplicationData and run CCleaner to fix the registry. It's that Simple.

  • You can also get a free trial for the Nortons.

  • Also, there are other videos out there that try to get you to download their program..DON'T DO IT! They scan your computer for you, but guess what..they want you to purchase to fix the problems. Malwarebytes is FREE...and WORKS!

  • All you need to do is go to Safe Mode and download the Malwarebytes removal program. I also downloaded a nortons antivirus and the nasty ProtectP virus was GONE! Nothing else worked, I tried this method in your video, but it was too complicated, plus when I tried to open the file, it blocked me from doing that. Just get Malwarebytes in safe mode, back it up with a nortons or another strong antivirus program..it will be gone.

  • I can't go to that website on the my computer part. What the hell

  • @funnynesslol What I did is Ctrl+alt+Del for task manager..

Task manager should close itself, just spam it, try to click processes.

Next time you open it it should be on the processes tab, look for "Privacy.exe"

Click on it reall fast and press Del and Enter.

Now you should be free from the virus, but you still have it, it's just not activated.

  • @11Skies11Fates lol?

  • @11Skies11Fates That's exactly what I did, then I opened up "msconfig" to make sure it doesn't turn back on at startup and found the location of the virus and deleted it manually.

  • @11Skies11Fates or u could use my method but good thinking:)

  • @11Skies11Fates THANKS MAN THANK I WILL SUB TO YOU

  • @11Skies11Fates then do a seacrh for it and delete it

    thats what i did

i renamed it first using this remaner app so it couldnt stop me

  • when i try to run the program it closes and i have to reinstall it in order to use it and it still closes, what should i do?

  • U couldve said before all this that you have to pay £26 to remove them!! thats shit

  • thank you so much! this was a right pain!! couldnt open anything at all found your blog page tht brought me here. thanks again.
