Great review. With regards to the plot, I think its safe to say that Carol-Anne wasn't 'pulled' into the TV set, rather she was 'pulled' into inner-space or the after-death state, of which the TV static acted as a suitable channel or mode of communication. I think one aspect of the plot which was quite unique in the history of such films is that it portrays the subject matter as something organic, universal, metaphysical and natural, rather than religious or 'paranormal'.
I think alot of the effects in the first film are alot better than the stuff made nowadays with CGI. The second film though had much weaker effects in comparison though with the exception of the vomit creature scene which is the best scene in the 2nd picture. It's a great movie and the score really makes the whole affair much better.
Im fourteen and I cant wait to see this with my mother of course I made my mom watch blair witch and the exorstie with me like im ganna watch the exorsite alone I say last night amazing film

I did think though that 2 was quite faithful to the original, it's very underrated. But then that is just my opinion. It continues the story well. Skip the third. It's quite sad though that Heather O'Rourke died during the making of 3.
@Shahtree I barely remember anything from 2, and I never saw 3. I also have no desire to visit either one. I guess you could say I don't feel that they needed to be made, as a lot of sequels go.
