I was 16 when the Crests made 16 Candles. Those were the days. Doo wop will never die. Being born in the 40s was the best. My teenage years were the happiest times of my life.
great vid with great music. does anyone on here know who did the song My Little Turtle Dove, its got the catchy intro 'Dum doo dadadada, cant you hear me calling calling, calling for your love'. stuck in my head and i count it as a doo wop song but i cant find it
haha i'd love to be alive during the 50s - 60s it seems so cool, plus the music =) and i'm a rock/pop punk fan.
i dont like the rap-hip hop trends now :( really sucks when im old i dont want to be talking to my grandkids about how cool was crank dat soulja boy etc. back in my day
bull... sure music was good back then, in your opinion. Many decent songs are released in these time. Your stereotyping modern music, like anyone could stereotype old music and crap
when america was real...english was our language...the illegal immigrants didnt flood the streets, the nation supported our military...schools werent teaching children its totally normal to be a homosexual, welfare wasnt around, the streets were safe, america was real, america was real, america was real!
if we all unite, we can take our country back to where it should. the land of the free and the home of the brave
your so right Emmjf, now people don't sing they yell and cuss in their so called videos! its so much better than real singing. Rhanks for pointing that out.
im always thinking about wat a good time 2 live in, but then i keep on forgetting thatim black. so ill take my freedom over segragation and race riots and continue on with my life. but the best music ever by far
I'm a big fan of heavy metal and hard rock music. But nothing beats the original 50s doo wop and rock and roll. This era is just gold and timeless. It would of been very fun and interesting to have lived in the 1950s.

Sushilov6 3 years ago 3
But then if you were born in the 50s you wouldn't have remembered much of anything from it. You'd be 9 years old as the decade changed.
Be born in the 40s, that works.
