Gref is criticizing the corporate method but what is he preaching? By saying "what it costs you to give" he still preaches the same massage (give, give, give & make me rich) but with a different angle. The Bible says that loving and obeying God takes precedence over gifts.
Mark 12:33 - To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
