Jurassic Bark was my least favorite episode from my least favorite season of the original run. There was not reason for the show to have such an incredibly sad moment when it is primarily built on its snark, irony and wit. This would not be so bad, however, if the episode was maybe a little bit funny...which most of it was not. The first three seasons of Futurama are still the best!

There's a lot of emotional depth to each, something that is rarely portrayed on any television show, let alone a cartoon.

The best Simpsons episodes like Homer's heart surgery had heart rending emotion that complimented rather than dominated the genuinely hysterical moments. Here, the comedy is reduced to bad one liners and less than chuckle worthy comments. If these were balanced out more evenly, this would have been a terrific episode in my eye.
