  • Ringo is bowing lower because it's fancy; lady-like. She used to do ballet so she's very able to do that. :)

  • ? translate plz. i wish i knew this so bad!!!

  • how come Shiina bowed a lot lower than Ichiro? Is it a male-female thing or is she just being more formal than he is?

  • @WingsTM

as in any other culture, women express more politeness. gestures, choice of language. so it would be difficult to tell if it is just femininity or really the male-female thing. but i think that it's just her being woman, him being sportsman. but they still are there as equals

  • the deeper the Ojigi (bow) means the greater respect he/she is giving to the other person. Shiina is being very polite :)

  • @WingsTM Shiina likes Ichiro for a long time and respects him as her idol. It should be enough to explain that.

  • I don't understand, when did Ichiro's hair turn silver?

  • When you have to deal with the retarded dealings of the Mariners' front office, your hair would turn that color pretty quickly, too.

  • that's a good one and Bavasi's finally gone and the m's are on a good start so far.

  • This was epic!

  • i didn't understand anything they said in the video. but all i care about is that shiina won.

    because she did.

in the world in my mind...

  • My bro' used to do a sort of similar game at school with one of his schoolmates, except they had no initial word in mind... one just said "indeed, you got it" at some point... So the others were amazed at their sense of deduction of what was in fact just a random chain of words...

  • Ichiro, if you come here and see this, even though I've heard you don't have a computer. Congradulations on having your 7th straight 200 hit season. You are a legend.

  • this was entertaining. a crazy kind of dance about personalities and where they get their inner dance steps. no wonder zen is popular in japan. they look for more. or less.

  • Agh! The Japanese is too fast. I can't understand it.

  • it looked kool but WTF was going on?

  • don't know what going on here ... that's coming from a japanese-american baseball fan

  • Wow...I got NOTHING!! I know NO japanese, can someone explain me what´s happening here?

Puta madre, me siento tan ignorante.

  • My english is so bad, but in the first part the word is RINGO (apple, Shiina Rigno say: "Primitive, primary" and after Ichiro say "Unfortunately, I always have left choked among the teeth"

  • Screw you. Seriously. ITS A JAPANESE SHOW. I bet your one of those idiots who would wondor though Mexico City and wonder why there speaking spanish. Your a disgrace to america.

  • 1. That was really rude. Did you ever think that maybe he came here because of RINGO SHIINA? She's a MUSICIAN, which means she deals with MUSIC, and music is embraced all over the WORLD. Some of her lyrics are translated to English so that non-Japanese speakers can better connect to her message (and the music, to an extent).

  • 2. Furthermore, the guy could have a small knowledge of Japanese and thought he could pick up on a few things, but he didn't. I'm the same way -- I like Ringo Shiina, I know a little bit of Japanese (but I'm not fluent so I couldn't catch everything.), yet I wanted to see this clip because Ringo Shiina is in it and it sounds interesting. This clip sounds FUN...and Ringo doesn't loosen up (smile, etc.) a lot when you see her perform, so this is a real treat for me.

  • 3. For you to jump at people and twist their comments completely out of context like a thick-headed jerk...that makes YOU a disgrace to America. You're a living reason as to why most of the world hates us.

  • I was replying to the "SPEAK ENGLISH!" comment, maybe you should back off, and if you are talking about me replying to that comment, the reason the rest of the world hates "US" is because thickheaded assholes who reply to a JAPANESE video with the words "speak ENGLISH"! You don't see Japanese people going to mlb videos and saying "SPEAK JAPANESE", but I think you misunderstood me, at least I hope.

  • Yes, there's a DEFINITE misunderstanding and I apologize. YouTube REALLY needs to have the comments "branch" better.

    From the looks of it:

    1. You actually replied to amiiwrong: "SPEAK. ENGLISH."

    2. I thought you ACTUALLY responded Zarafraze, who said they can't understand Japanese.

    3. I think you got confused, too. I think amiiwrong responded to the people who wrote in Spanish...even though Zarafraze wrote in English.

    But amiiwrong was VERY rude. They're the real jerk, so I'm sorry. ^^;

  • briLady7; Do you want to know why american are being dislike?...All you had do do is just look at what you are doing here. You took over this video page, you took up the whole page and commenting about none of us care...You go on and on and nobody can even get a word in about this video....So let me ask you "are you about done?"

  • You're so annoying.

  • and that was toward myasimo.

  • dexter450:Most likely you don't know what was that non-sense was all about. Do you see BriLady7 above you? This one went on and on about nothing. She posted comments 1 -2 -3 with number. I'm sure you seen those peoples on YT who does this before. But briLady came to learn whole base of her argument was wrong. Because She misunderstood amiiwrong for zarafraze. It was clear to anyone that she was mix up. So I commented. She apolozized at the end. It wasn't her bussiness to begin with. You ass!
