Very Nice I want to do this also. But I heard a comment about more weight in the front, I think thats the wrong thinking. The bow doesnt appear to high and i didnt see any porposing, but try adding some trim tabs and you should flatten right out. There are some forums and articles on this type of boat build avail if you google it! Great stuff!! Hey by the way don't be afraid to gas it through a turn it is a jet. ( ever ridden a wave runner? handles better with power)
I love this Idea!! haha I have been planning on building a aluminum platform to hold an 1000cc Seadoo that we found and mount it in an 18ft jon boat!! Use the original steering from the Jetski but scrap the heavy fiberglass hull!!! Great vid!!
@1laynlow77 The intake grate needs to be lower than the hull about 1-2 inches lower to get maximum intake of water, and stop cavitation......Check out my jet jon on my channel!
good luck getting 45 mph out of that lol especially with that guy in in it

Just wondering if a shallow V hull would produce a hifger top speed??
TheTorkerman 1 year ago
not really 550 got a top speed pretty much and most jon boats will go faster than v hulls because of drag

with a 550 group k has top speed of 39 thats if your lucky, doubts you will ever see anything close to that
