I have read that a quarter would buy a mans labour for a day during the 1930's in this country. Bear in mind that that quarter contained 90% silver that is worth currently about 5dollars. Absurd you might say, "I'll never work for .18 ounce of silver for 8 hours of labour". Well most of the worlds labourers do work for that.At this time. Think about it!

Ive learned the hard way already. If its wrote on a piece of paper it very well could one day be worth the piece of paper its on.
Physical Gold, Silver and Diamonds and Physical Cooper.. Thats it for now maybe down the road some other commodities. But A Piece of Paper? Never again!
@nlucctw2 If he is referring to 2000-2010 than Gold outperformed Silver. In Jan of 2000 Gold was about $280, and in Jan of 2010 it was around $1120, a gain of almost exactly 400%. In Jan of 2000 Silver was around 5ish and in Jan of 2010 it was around 17, a gain of 340%. Close, but Gold outperformed Silver.
Since silver is only recently being consumed in non-reclaimable consumer items, wouldn't that bode for parity at least? Way back when, silver wasn't being used in a way that it couldn't be recaptured the way it is now. We know that all gold has been hoarded as bullion or jewelry so is available. Therefore, 16-1 sounds high to me for that reason alone.
Eric Sprott is very well informed. The 3 men he listed, Ted Butler, Dave Morgan and Jason Hommel are among the smartest guys in the room when it comes to silver. The only guys you could add to that list would be James Turk, Adrian Douglas and Mike Maloney. Thanks so much for the vid!
@Motoicon Yes, these guys seem to know what they're on about. (I like to try to find guys who put across the opposite point of view, but so far, I've only found pretty weak arguments that don't seem to make a lot of sense).
